Charming village studio in family guesthouse

Tucked between the forest and sea in Almoçageme, Casa Bolacha offers three thoughtfully renovated apartments in the heart of Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. We live onsite and are always happy to help you discover the best of this breathtaking coastline and the 'hidden' side of Sintra. Our studio apartment has everything you need to visit Sintra in any season, with a large terrace and grill area for the summer, and a woodburner for the winter months. The space This welcoming studio features a spacious bedroom and living area with an en suite bathroom, air conditioning, and a fireplace for colder months. The compact kitchen includes a hotplate, microwave, kettle, toaster, and basic cooking equipment for simple meals. The kitchen is provisioned with oil, salt, coffee and teas. Simple meals can also be provided by prior arrangement. This apartment also has a private terrace with a barbecue and utensils provided. We provide an initial supply of firewood during the winter, with additional wood available for purchase on-site. We live above the apartment with our two children, and are fully equipped to host families with young kids. The property is shared with other guests. Guest access Private apartment and terrace aside, there is a small pool and terrace available to all guests. Clothes lines for drying laundry can be found on the far side of the car park. 2025 UPDATE: As part of the effort to improve the net environmental impact of Casa Bolacha the pool is being converted into a wildlife pond. We hope the new space will be ready for 2026 Other things to note Several times a week there is sourdough bread available (seasonal), and simple meals can be provided by prior arrangement. . This apartment has a sofa bed for children, and sufficient space for a travel cot for infants. A high chair is available on request. Laundry service available During term time there is the potential for noise from the car park as the children leave for school (8h30-8h45), though we do our best to minimise any disturbance!
