The property is a restored 13th Century Olive Mill in the heart of Maroulas. We have two double rooms each with an ensuite in a separate annex to the main house (access is via the main house) Guests have exclusive use of all facilities including the pool, hot tub, garden, sunbeds and roof terrace. The rooms are well appointed with a king size bed, air conditioning, fridge, tea coffee facilities, toiletries, hairdryer, dressing gowns. Breakfast is included. The space We have two double rooms each with an ensuite in a separate annex to the main house (access is via the main house) Both rooms have ensuite shower and overlook the garden. This listing is for 4 people - two double rooms based on 2 persons sharing each room. Breakfast is included. (Each room is also listed individually on AirBnB in should you require just the one room.) There is an extensive breakfast menu for guests to choose from. For lone travellers we can reduce the cost of a room by 10 euros a night. The rooms are equipped with a small fridge, kettle, complimentary tea and coffee and are both fully air-conditioned. Wifi is available through out the property including the roof terrace and the garden. Kingsize beds with anti-allergy duvet and pure cotton bed linen and choice of pillows. Air conditioned rooms Towels Bath Robes Powerful hair dryer and hair straighteners Luxury Korres Toiletries - shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion are supplied. Guests have exclusive use of the pool, hot tub, garden and roof terrace. The Garden Suite is on the ground floor and has direct access to the garden. The Olive Suite situated on the 1st floor has a balcony with armchairs. The garden is walled and a real sun trap. As we only have two rooms there will only ever be 4 guests using the facilities. There are ample sunbeds and garden chairs for guests to use. The roof terrace is equipped with sunbeds, a dining table and chairs and has a view of the sea and surrounding village. As this is our home we have everything that you would find in your own home such as a washing machine, iron and ironing board at your disposal if needed. There are always complimentary cake and biscuits for guests. Guest access There is a public bus twice a day, taxis are available costing approximately €15.00 to Rethymno, or €7.00 to the resort Plantanes, there you will find lots of shops, tavernas and miles of sandy beach. A car is recommended. Old Olive Mill does not have dedicated parking but there is usually ample free parking within the village. Maroulas is the perfect place for a holiday off the beaten track whilst being only a few minutes drive to the beachside resort of Plantanes and major supermarkets. The stunningly beautiful Venetian town of Rethymnon is twenty minutes away where in the maze of tiny streets you will find numerous high end restaurants, traditional tavernas and bars along with an abundance of shops. Within Maroulas village there are two excellent tavernas, Katerina and Mylopetra and a short walk brings you to Armos. The village is also home to the famous Marianna workshop. For walkers and cyclists, there are numerous footpaths and tracks around the village and surrounding countryside. During your stay Access to the guest rooms are via the main house. The Pool, hot tub, garden are for the exclusive use of any guests (maximum four) As this is Julie and Richards home they are usually around to give help and advice to guests if asked. Other things to note Access to the guest rooms are via the main house. The garden, pool, spa, and roof terrace are only shared between the four guests but may not be available depending on season and/or weather. As this is also the hosts home you will see them around the house. Richard and Julie are very approachable and are happy to give help and advice if needed.
