Casa Escondida de Jarales, a cozy 2-bedroom & loft

Bien Venidos (Welcome) to this over 100-year-old authentic New Mexican Teritorial style home nested among the cottonwoods in the bosque (forest) along the banks of the Rio Grande just 34 miles south of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The middle Rio Grande valley experiences the delight of all four seasons for year-round visits. Enjoy the serenity and charm of country/farm living with fresh air and the peaceful sounds of nature all around you, including hiking trails along the bosque just steps away. The space As you enter this quaint country home you will step down into the front living room with plenty of sitting room. The large country kitchen is to your left on main floor. It is a fully stocked kitchen with utensils, coffee, tea, treats, and a high chair. There is access to a clothes washer/dryer and a screened in porch. In addition, there is a private back yard with propane barbeque grill and rustic fire pit. To your right from the living room on the main floor level there is a combination library, TV and guest room with a twin-sized daybed/couch and trundle bed for additional sleeping space. Continuing to the right is the master bedroom with high-ceiling and loft. The master bed is queen-sized and the loft bed is a full-sized bed. The bathroom is equipped with a combination bathtub and shower. There is a step-up to the bathtub. To activate the shower, pull the ring on the faucet and to de-activate the shower, simply turn off the water. This property is located just west of the Rio Grande Bosque. For security, the river access gate is locked. Please request access if gate is needed to be opened. Guest access Access to Casa Escondida de Jarales is by self-keyless entry. The house code will be provided just prior to your reservation. However, in order to gain access for the automatic security gate to the property, I will need your email address in order to send you and invitation to the NoldOpen app for a virtual keychain. This app will allow you to open and close the gate throughout your stay using Bluetooth with your smart phone. If, for some reason, your email will not work, or you do not want to use this method for gate access, just let me know so I can leave the gate open prior to your arrival and you can borrow the FOB to the gate opener which is placed on the small purple table in the living room. Other things to note This is the country and WIFI is limited in this area. Gaming and multiple streaming will not be efficient on this system. WFI code and password will be available in the Guestbook at the site. The TV uses LG channels through Pluto service and Netflix or other subscriptions can be used with your own sign-in. Directions: turn TV on and push the "guide" button to see channels. Check-out information: 11 am Please place all used towels in the bathtub. No need to make the beds, leave used beds un-made so these linens can be washed. Trash can be emptied into the aluminum trash can in the backyard. Turn all propane off if barbeque grill used and no need to re-cover it, so it can be cleaned. Make sure all lights (including the outside ones)and fans are off and thermostat returned to arrival setting. If the gate FOB is used for gate access, make sure it is returned to the little living room table.
