The accommodation is within a 10-minute walking distance to Piskokefalo village where you can find mini-market, taverns, the busstop and few kilometres away from the main city of Sitia. The space The villa is built of wood and stone within a 15 acres olive grove, where there are also fruit and other trees as well as ornamental plants. The house is located beneath two huge plane trees about 400 years old and allow you to relax and enjoy the nature! The house is fully furnished (1) air conditioning, 2) washing machine 3) dishwasher, etc) and decorated with Cretan-traditional elements. In the main area (sitting room) there is a fireplace for the cold winter nights and a TV. Both bedrooms have big wardrobes and auxiliary tables for any kind of use.The perfect place for family or friends vacations. This house is a pet-friendly a accommodation. Guest access The villa is located in a private space and our guests can use all the available facilities including 1) the Pool, (5metres*10metres*1.60metres depth) 2) the Barbecue, 3) the Traditional wood-oven, 4) the Parking area, 5) the Porches, etc The new maisonette, which is considered an expansion of the main villa, is available for booking with 6 or more guests or under request with an extra cost. ******The swimming pool is closed during winter months (01 November - 30 March) ***** Other things to note Sitia is a port town and a municipality in Lasithi, Crete, Greece. The town it’s very close to Agios Nikolaos and Ierapetra. Sitia it is an amazing place in east Crete, with a long beach along the road leading to Vai and several places of historical interest. The earliest settlement of the town dates back to before Minoan times; excavations in the neighbouring site of Petras have unearthed architectural remains that date back to the end of the Neolithic period 3000 BC and continue throughout the Bronze Age (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) BC. In addition, there are several Minoan settlements unearthed in the various archaeological sites in the municipality, such as in Itanos and in Mochlos. The are also a number of sites in the municipality of Sitia that are protected as National Parks, Aesthetic Forests, Wildlife Refuges etc. under national and international laws. Notable examples are: •Dionysades Islands which carry many rare and endangered plant species and also serve as a refuge of several animal species (mostly birds and small reptiles), including the falcon, Falco eleonorae, which finds sanctuary here. •Richtis Gorge and waterfall.[6] •Vai Palm Forest. Shortly after Vai is ancient Itanos or Erimoupoli, where excavations have brought many finds of the Minoan and Hellenistic periods to light. It’s worth stopping here if you’re not in a hurry.
