Field House. A perfect family getaway on the coast

Field House is our lovely home where we live with our 2 girls. It's in a superb location on the edge of Mawnan Smith, a very peaceful village, but only a 2 minute walk from a nice pub and shop selling lots of local produce. The Helford River which is a short walk away has to be one of the most beautiful landscapes in the UK. The vibrant town of Falmouth is a 10 minute drive away and there are plenty of stunning walks you can do from the house. The space Our home is light, spacious and unique. It is warm, quiet and a very relaxing place to be especially with the woodburner roaring as the evening draws in. There's lots of individual artwork and a lovely big TV for family films in the evenings! We often say that we feel like we're on holiday even though we live here! PLEASE NOTE: You will be sharing the house with our lovely cat Monty (grey Burmese) - this has been reflected in the heavily reduced price. He has an automatic feeder so you wont need to do anything to look after him. He's pretty self-contained and spends most of the time in the garden. We also have chickens, which are in the field behind the garden. Again their food, water and shutting in and out are fully automated so all you'll have to do is collect the eggs in the morning if you want to. It's a lovely way to start the day, but if you don't fancy this we can ask neighbours to collect them. The garden is full of beautiful flowers and gets 14 hours of sun in summer. There's masses of room for garden games and lawns to lie on and enjoy far reaching views across the Lizard peninsula 10 miles away. At night there are only a couple of distant lights as far as the eye can see. You'll have complete privacy so if you don't fancy the beach you can sunbathe here in peace! We have a few vegetable beds just beyond the garden - the watering of these is automated. Please feel free to help yourselves to any fresh veg or fruit, as well as bringing some flowers into the house if you want to. Guest access You will have the entire property to yourselves, including plenty of off-road parking. One area of the house (a small extension) is not available to guests. We refer to this area as 'Phase 2' as we haven't renovated it yet! This area is off the Kitchen so whilst you can walk through it, out onto the patio and use the downstairs toilet there will be 2 rooms in this area closed to guests. Other things to note This is our family home so whilst it will be clean and tidy for you it's not a show home! Please bear this in mind when booking.
