This gîte (200 m²) of character that will be completely private is very comfortable. It can accommodate 10 people in 4 bedrooms. It is located in a wing of the castle and has its own independent entrance. On the ground floor: A living room of 57m2, granite tiles and beams against the ceiling with a beautiful view of the moat. Next to this living room is the kitchen which is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, oven, electric cooker, dishwasher, coffee machine.... After a shared staircase, you arrive on the first floor: A private corridor connecting two large rooms. Both with breathtaking views of the moat and vineyard. Complete privacy in a special part of the castle. A very large double bedroom connected to the castle tower where you will find your luxurious private bathroom with freestanding bathtub, large separate shower and toilet. Further down the corridor is the second bedroom with a luxury adjoining bathroom with shower and wc. One floor further down is then another common corridor that again connects two spacious bedrooms. * Living room of 57m2. * Entire floor with private hallway connecting two rooms. * Free WIFI. * Baby cot available. * Four private bathrooms, two with freestanding bath with separate shower and WC. The other two bathrooms with shower and WC. * Sleeps 10, plus children up to 2 years. Detailed description of the rooms; Chambre "1100": This lovely spacious room of 24m2 has an enchanting view. From a cosy sitting area you can see the moat on one side and the vineyard on the other. The room has a private bathroom of 18m2, located in the tower. * Bedroom with a comfortable double bed (160cm x 200cm). * Private bathroom in the tower (connected to the bedroom), freestanding bath, large shower, toilet and hairdryer. Room "1350" is named after the first inhabitants of this Château, the Boux family, who lived here for many generations for 110 years. Jean Boux was the first seigneur (lord) de la Preuille. This 18m2 room has a beautiful view over the canal. Enjoy the early morning from an armchair and discover bird life on the water. * Bedroom with a comfortable double bed (180cm x 200cm). * Private bathroom with shower, WC and hairdryer. Chambre "1832" refers to a historical event that took place at Château de la Preuille in year 1832. The Baroness de Berry, Marie-Caroline of Bourbon tried to organise a coup against King Louis Philippe at the castle in order to get her son Henri to the crown. Henri was the last legitimate descendant of the royal Bourbon family. The coup attempt failed and Marie-Caroline was arrested. This delightful and spacious 29m2 castle room has a beautiful view of the moat. From a cosy sitting area, you can see the moat on one side and the vineyard of Chateau de la Preuille on the other. The room has a private bathroom of 18m2 in the adjoining tower. * Located on the 2nd floor of the Château overlooking the moat and vineyard. * Bedroom with a comfortable double bed (180cm x 200cm). * Sofa bed (142cm x 182cm). * Private bathroom in the tower (only accessible from the room) with freestanding bath, large shower and WC. * Sleeps up to 4 people. Chambre "2019" represents the year we had the opportunity to live in this special and magical castle. We know we can only be a small part in the 1000 years of history of this unique building and feel honoured to embark on this unique adventure. We will make every effort to offer our guests a unique experience. * This 19m2 room has a beautiful view of the moat. * Located on the 2nd floor of the Château. * Bedroom with two single beds (95cm x 190cm). * Private bathroom with shower and WC. Deposit of 200 € to be refunded at the end of your stay (cash or cheque). The rental price includes: * Made beds on arrival and basics will be provided for the kitchen and WC, but please bring your own towels. * At the end of your stay, we ask you to leave the gite "broom clean" and we will take care of the rest. Sorry, not allowed: * Smoking inside the castle, only outside. Other things to note Deposit of 200 € returnable at the end of your stay (cash or cheque accepted). Rental includes: Bedlinen and the basics will be provided for the kitchen and WC. Beds will be made upon arrival but please bring your own towels. At the end of your stay, we ask that you to leave the gite “broom clean” and we’ll take care of the rest.
