Shadyscrest is a rustic villa-style home nestled at the edge of the Kiewa Valley in Victoria’s Alpine region. It boasts uninterrupted views of the surrounding mountains for a peaceful retreat at any time of the year. The space The house has 3 bed rooms and 1.5 bath rooms, the spacious open kitchen/dining/living area comfortably accommodates 2-6 people, but can handle up to 7 if you like it cosy. NOTE THAT LINEN IS NOT PROVIDED Enjoy the uninterrupted views from the back deck while cooking a feast on the BBQ. The house has a fireplace/combustion heater, which is very cosy in the winter months, wood will be supplied. There is also a split system A/C and Heater which does the job well to keep the house warm in the winter months and cool in the summer months. We typically have coffee and some basic things like herbs and oil available, but please make sure you stock up to avoid disappointment. Guest access All facilities in the house can be used by the renter, there is 1 room upstairs which is locked and cannot be accessed. The Kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, pots, pans etc. There is also an espresso machine, I usually have some ground coffee in the fridge. Also I usually stock dome coffee pod, I have the Aldi coffee maker in case you want to bring your own. Note, this is not a B & B as such breakfast is not provided, the house has all facilities you need if you wish to cook up a feast. Other amenities available for guests are: Washing Machine (Top loader) TV / Blue Ray / digital Media Player. BBQ Outdoor table and chairs Espresso machine Fire Place Reverse cycle Air conditioner / Heater in living area Air conditioner only in main bedroom 2 x Bath rooms (1 large with bath) 3 x Bedrooms (2 bedrooms with Queens, 1 bed room with 3 singles) Kitchen with all utensils, crockery and apparatus such as toaster, microwave Fresh Alpine Air Crisp alpine water Other things to note Please note that you require to bring all your linen as we do not have the facility to provide this. All beds will have donas and pillows. There is no dishwasher or clothes dryer (there is a clothes line outside and a rack for drying clothes inside). This is not a B&B as such breakfast is not provided, some basic items may be there free for you to use, we try to have coffee and milk available as a minimum. The house is located on the main road on the front, though this is not a particularly busy road most of the time, other than periods in the busy season, the traffic at night is minimal. The rear of the house over look the valley with beautiful views over the Kiewa valley. Also the bedroom doors are louver doors which are typical for this style of house, so it is not overly sound proof, this was one of the comments of a guest, we just want to be up front with it.
