Large Character Farmhouse in a Fairytale Village

A taste of country life in our refurbished Farmhouse. With rustic country decor & vintage furniture throughout. All rooms are double aspect with views over the surrounding village & our magical garden. This is our piece of paradise. The space Our well equipped farmhouse has 4 spacious bedrooms, plenty of space to lounge by the fires & a large games barn (only suggested to use in summer). The 2 master suites, on the first floor, have HUGE (emperor and super king) comfortable beds with en-suite bathrooms. The loft rooms share a spa bathroom and toilet. The loft is where the kids usually sleep (1 double bedroom & a room with 2 singles - one of the singles is only 175cm long so not good for tall people). The open-plan kitchen/breakfast room is well equipped and our favourite spot for art with the kids, games night or drinking and catching up while we cook. Our kitchen was recently featured on 2024 series 'No Taste Like Home' for National Geographic on Disney Plus with FLORENCE PUGH. There is a separate dining room with log burner and direct access to the garden. The lounge area has 2 seating spaces and a log burner. The kitchen opens straight into the barn for summer entertaining. PLEASE note that the BARN is NOT insulated so is affected by the weather in the winter months. The barn is also very ‘rustic’ and has not been renovated but people love that it is original and can be part of the home. The barn has couches & darts. Upstairs we have a separate office with excellent Wi-Fi and a printer. We have a lovely garden with lots of spots to sit and ponder life. A trampoline or a wonderful mud kitchen for any younger visitors to explore/play. By the house we have a table and chairs plus a small bbq (byo bbq fuel/coals) for summer days cooking. Due to the wonderful position of our house (we are at the top of the village) and the well placed trees, we are completely private with no neighbours able to see into our little oasis. Once you are here you will feel a million miles away with complete silence, except for the birds in the trees. We are currently traveling but can give advice on what’s happening or recommendations for anything you might want to do. PLEASE NOTE: The house is set up for visitors so no personal clutter Guest access NOTE; we are on a hill and there is a stone wall with a drop on the other side. This is why we have not recommended our house as a place for infants or pets. Please message to discuss further. I have a travel cot so a baby would be fine here - it’s just small toddlers that could be a problem with the tv on a stand and possibly climbing by the wall. Other things to note This is our HOME.. I have set the price at a reasonable rate because I would like lovely guests to come and enjoy what we created here.
