Lusa Oceanfront House - Surfs up!

Lusa is a Balinese-styled beach house overlooking a well-protected surf beach, next to a grassy headland, backing on wilderness. There are sweeping seascapes and fantastic walks, just off the front steps. The cottage captures the summer sea breeze, and the thunder of the ocean is ever present. It is bright and open and surrounded by deep porches and sunny decks. It is well suited for a long and relaxing beach holiday. The space The house is in on a corner block, facing north and east, capturing all-day sun, but, it is also well shaded. It is bright and airy with three large separate living spaces and four separate deck spaces to relax and take in the seaside. The downstairs combines a kitchen, dining and living space. Upstairs has one bedroom with a queen, and the upstairs living area has a futon bed suitable for 2 kids. There is a bathroom upstairs with a shower and bathtub. Guest access The verandas catch the ocean breezes and a grassy path invites you down to the nearby shore. Plunge into the surf, strike out along the beach, or explore the rocky ledges and pools. From atop the heath-covered headland you can best see the nearby islands, and the jagged coastline that vanishes far off to the north and south. At the right time in summer whales and dolphins play about the headland waters. Or, you might come across a lone fisherman, wallabies, seabirds, and high above, the resident sea eagles. Orange billed oyster The catchers pluck about the shores. Bird life is abundant. Other things to note The house is well equipped for family beach holidays, with outdoor settings, folding chairs, board games and TV/DVD player. A small pantry provides some non-perishables (cooking oil, tea bags, herbs and spices, etc.) There is Sandy Beach House cafe only a short walk and a big supermarket is a few minutes by car.
