La Jolla Shores private getaway near beach & UCSD

Private entrance to large private suite with full bathroom. Queen bed + full-sized sofabed, TV (chromecast), fridge, microwave, kettle, fast wifi, off-street parking. Short walk to beach through great neighborhood, easy bus ride to UCSD. Longer-term guests (2+ weeks) may request access to laundry facility and a multi-purpose pressure cooker (for rice, meat, fish, vegetables, soup) in addition to fridge, microwave, and kettle, which are always available. The space There is a room-dividing curtain that creates instant privacy between bedroom and living room, with separate doors for the two "rooms" (the curtain blocks light but not sound). The house is an 8-minute walk to the world-famous La Jolla Shores beach, and a short bike/bus/car ride to UCSD. Starbucks and Subway are right across the street. Many restaurants and cafes are two blocks from the house. The property sits on a busy street, but the guest area is generally quiet with the double-paned windows closed. Guest access You will have your private bedroom/living room, bathroom, and private entrance. Other things to note We have some beach gear, as well as baby gear (including a pac'n'play), that we can lend to guests. Please note that we have two young kids living in the main house (a 3-year-old and an infant), so you might occasionally hear kids' noises. However, there are at least four doors between your bedroom and any space the kids are likely to be in, and five doors between your bedroom and the kids' bedrooms, so there is a fair amount of noise insulation. None of our previous guests have ever complained about noise made by the kids, or mentioned that they could even hear the kids. Please note that while we allow same-day booking, since we both work full time and have young kids, if you arrive the same day as you book, we may not be able to clean the guest space as thoroughly as we normally do.
