Old Rag Mountain Cabin in the Shenandoah+Wine Tour

At the base of Old Rag Mountain in the Shenandoah is a 30+ acre Mountain Cabin suited with modern day luxuries. Hike the thousands of trails on foot or horseback, visit DuCard winery next door to the property, listen to the famous Graves Mountain Bluegrass music, canoe, camp, enjoy wine on the dock next to the private stream on the property. Wildlife explorers, this is your haven. The space The main house has 2 bedrooms on the main floor and a loft with 1 queen and 2 twin beds and full bath. The basement is equipped with a bar, theater, pool and foosball tables and arcade game (Pacman and Galaga). There is a 3rd bedroom in the basement. The apartment is located over the garage with sleeping for 4 and 1.5 baths (bed count is not included in the listing but included in price). All sofas are pull out with full sleeping accommodations at 22. There is a total of 4 full- and 2 half-baths on the property. Hiking and camping is available on the 30+ acre property with groomed trails and a stream deck. Note that campfires need to be strictly contained and not made when winds exceed 15mph. There is a weather station in the main cabin to measure the wind and temperature. A canoe for 6 is available on the property but needs a vehicle to transport to the river. You will find detailed instructions throughout the home on how to use the theater and full house generator if it is needed. Towels and Linens are provided. The home is also stocked with local wine that uses the honor system (instructions are in the bar area). The best brunch in town is at Graves Mountain Lodge. There are cows on the 2 pastures at the front of the property and a local farmer that tends to them, he does not approach the house. Note that there is electric fencing surrounding the pastures. It is also advised that you arrive with at least 50 mi in your gas tank....why, because there is only 1 store in town and it's not a gas station! Cell service is weak with T-Mobile being the strongest. There is pretty fast wi-fi in the house via Starlink satellite. We do have a landline that can be used (international calls charged). Please do not use the power tools, tractors or other tools in garage for safety reasons. Guest access There is plenty of parking on the property.
