Island View Apartment Groot Brakrivier

Island View is a luxury holiday apartment, sleeping 4 guests, in beautiful Groot Brakrivier, gateway to the beautiful Garden Route in South Africa. We're located halfway between Mossel Bay and George, a scenic 15 minute drive from the airport. Wi-fi is FAST, UNLIMITED and FREE! The area is an ideal base for golfers, with several world class golf courses within 30 minutes drive, including Fancourt, Pinnacle Point and Oubaai. Dolphins Creek Golf Estate is 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The space The apartment is on the banks of the Groot Brak River estuary just before it enters the ocean, and a short walk from the beach. Guests have use of a canoe, which they can launch from the private jetty (own life jackets required). The river has some great fishing for Grunter, Leervis and Mullet. The area is rich in bird life and is popular with bird watchers. One of the pleasures is to lie in bed and watch herons, kingfishers and other bird life while enjoying a cup of coffee. Enjoy spectacular sunsets while braaing on the deck which overlooks the river, only a few metres away. The master bedroom has a super comfortable queen size bed and the second bedroom has 2 singles, which can be put together to make a king size bed should guests prefer. A huge bath and walk in shower complete the accommodation. Please be aware that while the apartment has 2 bedrooms, there is only 1 bathroom, access to which is via the master bedroom, so it may not be ideal for non intimate adults. The open plan kitchen has modern fittings with all the equipment needed to prepare a gourmet meal or a quick snack. The lounge, has a comfortable couch and a sliding door opens out onto a covered, north facing private deck. Guest access Self catering apartment attached to the main house, (where the owners live). It's completely separate though, with private access and private patio front and back. Other things to note - There is ample parking behind an automated gate with excellent lighting and security. - The owners live on the premises, the apartment is attached to the main house (although completely separate), with private access and a private deck. - There are 3 dogs (Golden Retriever and 2 x Jack Russels) living on the premises. - We don't have Dstv, but Netflix and Prime Video are included along with unlimited, fast Wifi. - The apartment will be cleaned an sanitised before arrival, if you require cleaning services during your stay it can be arranged, we do ask a day's notice so that we can make arrangements, the rate is R250 per clean. - An automatic washing machine is provided in the apartment for washing clothes etc, and for longer stays linen and towel changes can be arranged. This can be scheduled during your stay. - There are steps in the apartment so it's not suitable for the disabled or guests with restricted movement. - The riverside deck has no barrier to interrupt the view, so the apartment is not suitable for young children.
