Carinya is a peaceful collection of six modern villas set among rolling hills and native bushland. Spend slow mornings on the deck, watch cows wander past and enjoy sunset views over the valley, all close to Byron’s beaches and Bangalow’s cafes. Perfect for families or couples, each villa is fully self-contained with two bedrooms, kitchen, laundry and private deck. The space You’ll find everything you need to settle in, whip up a meal, or do absolutely nothing at all. Each villa includes: • Queen bedroom + twin single bedroom (sleeps 4) • Open-plan living and dining with Smart TV & Wi-Fi • Fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, fridge, Nespresso machine + essentials • Bathroom with quality linen + refillable amenities • An outdoor shower for that post-beach rinse • Private deck with hinterland views, a Weber BBQ and space for slow breakfasts or sunset drinks • Laundry with washer + dryer • Highchair, kids’ cutlery and cot available on request • On-site parking (2 spots per villa) Each villa has a slightly different perspective of the hinterland. Some open wide across the rolling hills, while others are more tucked into the bush with plenty of birdlife to spot. Wherever you stay, you’ll have a private deck surrounded by greenery and the sense of being immersed in nature. Comfort in Every Season There’s no air conditioning, as part of our off-grid design, but elevated positioning, plantation shutters and ceiling fans keep things breezy. In winter, we provide heaters and extra blankets for cosy evenings. Thoughtfully Sustainable Carinya is completely off-grid, powered by solar energy and rainwater harvesting. The villas are designed to work with the natural environment - no air con, no electric heating and no single-use plastics. We use refillable amenities throughout and partner with a local social enterprise (Linen SHIFT) for our laundry. A Nature-Filled Stay Over the past two decades, we’ve regenerated more than 30 acres of rainforest, now home to echidnas, owls, black cockatoos and more. A Few Things to Note • No pets, we’re a wildlife-friendly property • Best suited to peaceful, nature-filled stays (not Schoolies groups) • Quiet time from 9pm • Minimum booking age: 25 • Events considered with prior approval Guest access Guests have full access to their private, self-contained villa and deck. Each villa has its own entrance and is positioned for privacy, although all six share a driveway. On-site parking is included, and self check-in details are sent prior to arrival. Other things to note Carinya is fully off-grid and surrounded by bushland and farmland, so you’ll be immersed in nature. You may see cows grazing, hear birds at dusk and occasionally notice the odd curious creature, it’s all part of staying in the Australian countryside.
