The space Riverside Cottage was previously a weaver’s home and stables and is over 300 years old. It retains a wealth of character and offers a quiet, cosy retreat where you can relax and unwind. The cottage is centrally located in the Conservation village of Luddenden. The luxury cottage has a homely feel and a warm and inviting atmosphere, including a log burning fire and free standing bath. You enter the property into the stylish kitchen, with modern island, range cooker and large fridge freezer. The kitchen also has beautiful solid oak cupboards and dresser and fabulous original stone floor, with under-floor heating for your comfort. Plus, a Nespresso Machine for your use. The spacious open plan sitting and dining room has a log burner and extra large solid oak table. It’s a cosy space to sit and read or to watch TV, with our basic SkyQ package. You can also enjoy socialising with friends and family over a meal and a bottle of wine or two! There is also a bureau with laptop stand, if you need to work. Off the dining area, you will find one of the bathrooms, which includes a toilet and walk-in shower for added convenience. Large patio doors open off the dining area onto a charming private patio, overlooking the River Ludd and weir. The cottage has a large garden up a short flight of stone steps. In the garden there is an outdoor dining area and a firepit and BBQ. Also a golf practice net is available for your use, but please bring your own clubs and balls! Up the beautiful stone staircase from the kitchen (please note there is no handrail), you will find 3 comfortable bedrooms (1 King and 2 Doubles), all with plenty of storage. Also a further 1.5 bathrooms - the main bathroom includes a roll top bath and there is a separate shower room with walk-in shower (no toilet/sink). The cottage has WiFi and the basic Sky package for TV with SkyQ available in the sitting room and main bedroom. A selection of board games is also provided for your enjoyment. We’re sure you will enjoy your stay here at Riverside Cottage. Guest access Please note we share our driveway with our neighbours, who will always need access. There is room in front of the house for 2 cars parked side by side so as to not block entry and exit. There is also additional parking across the road in the small parking area based on a first come, first served basis. You can also park on the road at the very end of the drive, again please be mindful of entry and exit to the driveway. Parking elsewhere in the village may be available but remember it is a conservation area, so the streets are narrow and care should always be taken when parking. Other things to note The cottage is pet friendly and welcomes one well behaved dog which we request is kept downstairs and off furniture please. We welcome families - a travel cot, high chair, baby gate and fire guard are available. However, due to the stone kitchen floor and stairs, log burner and close proximity to the river, we must ask that children are supervised at all times. Please also note there is no handrail on the stone staircase to access the bedrooms.
