Description

The Annexe at Barn Corner is a cosy self-contained property. Its key attraction is its superb location, in the picturesque village of Bothenhampton, just a short walk away from Bridport's thriving town centre. The fishing village of West Bay, known for its spectacular cliffs and sandy beaches, is within easy reach via a nature path. The property comprises a light-filled bedroom, a kitchen with cooking facilities and a small modern bathroom. Stairs connect the kitchen and the bedroom. The space The annexe is set over two levels. Entering the hallway downstairs, the kitchen is straight ahead. Off the kitchen is a small bathroom, with a powerful shower. The kitchen itself has an electric cooking hob with 2 burners, a microwave, a kettle and a toaster, besides the washer and dryer. The small table with 2 chairs make for a laptop-friendly workspace as well as an eating area. Upstairs, the light-filled bedroom contains two comfortable single beds, which can be joined to make a large double. (Please let us know in advance which of these set-ups you’d prefer). There’s a smart TV which you can angle out from the wall to watch from bed. There's also a small sofa in the bedroom. (Please be aware that there is no separate sitting room.) The property is carpeted on the stairs and in the bedroom. We are sorry but we don’t allow pets. There is a small outdoor patio with a table and two chairs, which catches the morning sun. This is for your use. For all details about how to use the amenities, please see the sheet in the front of the black folder. Guest access Guests can let themselves in via their own separate doorway with a code on a keypad. There's plenty of parking right outside the front door and it's an easy walk both to the nature reserve through the village, up on to the cliffs for spectacular sea views and equally, in the other direction, into Bridport within 10 minutes. The property stands on a short street, where the neighbours are friendly, within the sweet village of Bothenhampton, with its 12th Century church just a short walk away. We are within easy reach of the sea at West Bay. It's just a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. Other things to note Bridport is famous for its market on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with its food and clothing stalls. It is also home to many independent shops and cafes, including 'Soulshine' serving simple tasty food in a stylish setting. The museum at Bridport tells of the town's past as a rope-making centre. At West Bay, you can buy fish straight from the sea at 'Catch of the Bay' or eat outside as the sun sets at 'Rise'. 'The Watchtower' has wood fired pizzas and is on the beach itself, near the iconic cliffs featured in the TV series 'Broadchurch'. We provide environmentally friendly products where possible for you to use, should you desire. We refill our containers at a local shop, 'Waste not want not', to cut down on plastic waste. We also compost all our food waste and of course recycle plastic and glass.
