Why El Escondite you ask? Well, step inside and discover why this very spacious apartment lives up to its given name. A true home away from home ‘hideaway’ and certainly a hidden gem. The space El Escondite has a stylish mix of natural elements & modern simplicity to create a bright and harmonious space with a hint of home and luxury to ensure your stay is cool, calm and comfortable! The property has proven a hit with remote workers looking for a base to explore Andalusia. Whether you are staying a while and looking for a home away from home or stopping by for a weekend escape. This large fully furnished and generously stocked three bed apartment is perfect for both long stays and short stays. With its prime location in the centre of town you will be a short walking distance to everything Ronda has to offer & and easy drive out to explore further a field! This hidden gem is truly the ideal place to be! This ground floor apartment is extremely spacious with its generous and modern open plan living area boasting a very large lounge, kitchen/dining area. Fully fitted with ample storage and quality appliances including a dishwasher, washing machine, oven, induction hob, microwave, Nespresso machine & large fridge freezer. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need for a short or long self-catered stay. El Escondite comfortably accommodates a maximum of 5-6 adults, and has one shared modern shower room off of the common area and one en-suite with beautiful large bathtub (hand held shower head only) in the master bedroom. The open plan living area has three sets of beautiful tall double doors leading into three very generous guest rooms: o THE MASTER BEDROOM including a large luxury freestanding bathtub, his and her sinks and SUPER king memory foam bed: The large master bedroom is located at the far end of the apartment through a beautiful set of double doors with delicate white linen drapes for extra privacy. The Moorish Master is beautifully decorated to create a calm space to relax. The 'Super King' bed is made up with only the finest hotel standard bedding to ensure a good nights rest. A second set of moorish double doors lead you to a spacious ensuite with a huge freestanding bathtub including a hand held shower head, his and hers sinks, WC and bidet. If you don’t fancy living out of your suitcase for your stay the apartment offers plenty of storage drawers for your personal items , hanging space and full-length mirrors in every bedroom. o THE SECOND DOUBLE: This very generous second double guestroom situated off from the living room through another beautiful set of double doors and white linen drapes. Is beautifully decorated with it’s natural pieces, warm colour scheme & olive finishes. A European 'King' size bed is made up with the same hotel quality bedding to ensure you get a peaceful night sleep. There is plenty of storage including bedside tables, dresser drawer, hanging area and full length mirror. o THE TWIN: The twin bedroom is a flexible space that can comfortably accommodates maximum two guests. It has two single beds (one of which can be stored under the other for those travelling in groups of 5 or less.) The space both works as an extra bedroom or living area/storage space. PLEASE NOTE: It has recently been renovated to accommodate private owners storage so this room is slightly smaller than previously pictured. Wifi and TV: There is free SUPER FAST 5G internet, a flat screen 55” Smart Android TV including apps such as Netflix, HBO, Youtube, Amazon Prime and others. - The internet speed is perfect for those working remotely and can be demonstrated upon request. A/C, Heating, Dehumidifier: The apartment comes with air conditioning which doubles as heating. In addition there is also a radiator in the living room and heated towel rails in both bathrooms. *Additional items such as a portable radiator, fans and dehumidifier are available to the guests. *The property remains very cool in summer months and holds its warmth in those colder months. Please note this is a traditional Spanish building with tile floors for those that feel the cold. The buildings are also often sensitive to humidity / moisture so electric shutters are fitted for ventilation and protection from the heat. Guest access El Escondite lies within the sloping streets of Padre Jesús and sits between Calle Cantos and Calle Peñas. It is in the very centre of Ronda and walking distance to everything this beautiful town has to offer. You are right amidst the most popular tourist spots including the famous Puente Nuevo bridge, the Plaza del Toro bull ring and the Arab Baths. Ronda's historic city walls and stunning Moorish architecture is right on your doorstep and you have the most breath-taking views of The Sierra mountains right outside the apartment. Parking: Please note that Ronda is a traditional Spanish town with many hills, narrow roads and one way systems. Due to the properties prime location and the partly pedestrian streets around El Escondite, parking is free but not allocated and can be limited outside the property. Spaces are subject to availability and may require tight on street parallel parking and a short walk to the apartment. Your host will send you detailed instructions on parking and access including a pin drop of the apartments location on check in day. Car Parks: There are many carpark’s in town from 5-15min walk away depending on the one you choose. If you aren’t comfortable with on street parallel parking on the road above El Escondite. I would strongly suggest utilising the pay as you go car parks in town. Your host can send you the details of the nearest one during your stay. Insurance: I recommend you ensure you have a suitable sized car and suitable car insurance to cover any damages if you do intend to negotiate the streets around Ronda. Public Transport: If a car is not required then you may wish to use alternative forms of transport such as taxis, coaches or trains. The taxi rank, coach station, and train station are all in walking distance. With the train station being the furthest across town (20 min walk) Both the local taxi rank and the Coach station are situated on the road above the apartment a short walk away. Please note: Uber does not exist in Ronda. Note: Please keep in mind Ronda is a hilly walking town and the area often consists of sloping cobbled streets and shallow steps. The property is not suitable for wheelchair access, guests with limited mobility or guests with buggies or lot’s of luggage they cannot carry themselves. Other things to note o In the wake of The Covid 19 pandemic. We completely understand the need to feel confident about where you and your friends or family stay. The cleaning system allow plenty of time between bookings for the apartment to be sanitised and prepared safely for each group of guests. NO SAME DAY TURN AROUNDS. o Minimum stay is 2 nights but may be more depending on the time of year. o The property is fully furnished and suitable for short and long stays. PLEASE NOTE: This is a self catered property with laundry facilities. We do not offer turn down or fresh towels for eco and sustainability reasons (Requests can be made for bookings 7 days or more) o Access to the property: Lock box / Meet & Greet depending on availability. o Check in time 1600 onwards and check out 1100 latest (unless agreed in advance with owner and host) Please plan your trip accordingly as we do not guarantee to accommodate early check in, luggage drop off or late check out. o Please ensure you have adequate travel and/or car insurance before booking to cover any unforeseen changes in your travel plans or motor incidents during your stay. HOUSE RULES: The apartment is home to your host and so guests are expected to treat it as they would their own home. It is furnished to a high standard throughout with the primary aim of providing good quality and comfortable accommodation for all of our guests. o This apartment does not accept bookings from anyone under the age of 18 or accommodate infants and minors under 2 (unless approved by the owner/host.) Any violation or abuse to this rule will require cancellation or eviction. o The property is not child friendly and due to storage space we do not include any extra beds, baby cots or high chairs (but arrangements can be made upon request.) o Pets are not permitted at this property (unless agreed in advance with the owner/host and a extra cleaning fee will be added) Any violation or abuse to this rule will require cancellation or eviction. NOTE: The owner has a small/medium dog called Chia who loves humans. However we appreciate not everyone feels the same. The property is always deep cleaned but guests who suffer severe allergies to dogs keep this in mind before booking. o Please note that this barrio apartment means you are living in close proximity to your fellow neighbours and so noise levels should be kept to a minimum. No events or parties are allowed on the property or outside the property. Any disruption to other residents will not be tolerated. It is a quiet mainly pedestrian street but you are in the centre of things so expect some noise from friendly locals, neighbours and passers by. o NO SMOKING, VAPING OR OTHER ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES ALLOWED. o Since the Tourism Law of Andalusia came into effect in May 2016, it is now mandatory for all hosts to register ALL guests with through the local police portal using a valid form of ID (Passport or Residency Card) Please ensure you have your passport for check in & your host will be in touch with further information. o Please treat the property the same way as you would expect your own to be treated. The owner has put a lot of love and pride into creating this space for herself and her guests to enjoy and relax. Do not move the furniture or remove any items from the property. This is to avoid loss and damages that guests are liable for. o Please be aware that failure to comply with these particular house rules could result in cancellation, eviction or your security deposit not being returned to you / fines.
