Colorful Baja Camper ☆ Unique Character & Views

Description

Welcome to Paradise Shores, we're happy you found us! Here at Paradise Shores, we believe in reconnecting people to the simple pleasures of life in a no-frills, peaceful, camp like setting. Our Baja camper is comfortable and fun. Inspired by our love for the Mexican culture, art, and hospitality, it carries Baja vibes in its vibrant colors and original details. It offers great lake and mountain views and is ideal for a couple, but can sleep up to three. The space We're a family owned RV Park & Campground located on the shores of Bridgeport Reservoir. Together with our crew, we're excited to welcome you into our newly adopted home. We are extremely excited to be taking the reins at Paradise Shores and continuing the legacy that Alan and Veronika have built over the past 11 years. When we first set eyes on Paradise Shores in early 2021, we fell in love with the charm and character of the place, and feel very fortunate to be trusted stewards going forward. We've been working with Veronika and Alan through this year learning the ropes, and they continue to be involved supporting us (remotely at this point), along with the existing team. We are committed to maintaining the same standards and mellow welcoming community vibe that had us fall in love with PS, and look forward to hopefully hosting you soon and being part of your Sierra adventure! Please request the booking via this listing and you're welcome to view the previous reviews of guests who stayed at our RV camp via the link to Veronika & Alan's Co-host profile below. We believe in campfires, starry nights, good laughs, exploration, a deep sleep and an early rise. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. So turn off your phone and turn on your senses. When you arrive we won’t hand you a list of rules but we may invite you to join us for a campfire, remind you to conserve water, and to separate your trash so we can recycle it. That’s about it, oh yeah: relax, it’s your vacation. It’s important to us that our guests don’t feel they are renting a rental trailer as much as they’re immersing themselves into the outdoor experience. You may just want to lounge outside and read for days. For the more adventurous, there's a full slate of self-guided recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards, bird watching, campfires & s'mores. We encourage our guests to “unplug” and immerse in the slower paced life but do have WIFI internet. And not just any WIFI but blazing fast (1GB) fiber optic internet broadcast over mesh network. There’s never been a better time to move your office away from the city and into the nature if you’re looking for an extended workcation. You can now get all your remote work done while enjoying everything the Eastern Sierra has to offer! We constantly improve and update the decor in our campers in effort to make your stay more pleasant and memorable (after all, this may be your first ever RV living experience!). We hope you enjoy and appreciate some changes and finishing touches that may not have been captured in the photo gallery above. Note: Please read the entire listing description prior to booking. THE BAJA CAMPER: While spending some time in Baja during the winter of 2013, we fell in love with the Mexican culture, art and hospitality. We wanted to share this experience with our guests at Paradise Shores. So, we transformed the former Cascade trailer into Baja-themed camper. Make sure to bring some tequila to truly soak in the atmosphere! :-) Our Baja camper is comfortable, fun, and offers great views of the lake and the mountains. Even though this trailer doesn't have any slide outs, it's still pretty spacious and it carries Baja vibes in its vibrant colors and original finishing touches. It is ideal for a couple, but can sleep three people. The sleeping options consist of queen size bedroom and a pull out couch in the living area. Free high speed fiber optic WiFi internet, TV with a DVD player, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster are all provided. We also have DVDs available upon request at the office; we hope these will help make your evenings after the daily adventures and exploration fun and relaxing. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, cookware, glasses, cups, plates, paper towels, soap, and all the typical kitchenware. Sheets, towels, and dish towels are ready for you. So, all you really need to bring is some clothing and food. Pretty much everything else is covered. The camper also has a cooling system, and an outside area with outdoor furniture, as well as the fireplace and barbecue for you to use. We provide one-use supply of charcoal briquettes, to get set up for your grilling and outdoor entertaining, and you can buy locally grown firewood at our office. Our rate includes space rent, propane, our awesome wifi, a parking spot as well as 12% Mono County occupancy tax (TOT). Guest access You will have access to the entire RV camp. You are welcome to use our various common areas with fire rings and barbecues, which we tend to improve each year. We host bonfires on most Saturdays, weather permitting, you're welcome to join in. We have camp laundry room available as well, please ask. There are couple of kayaks, SUP and paddle boat at the camp that you can use for free on the reservoir. Your dog can play at our dog beach (which may be little limited when the water level in the lake is high or pretty large when the reservoir is low). Probably to your pup's disliking, you can use our dog wash to clean him up after a fun time at the beach and the local trails. Other things to note As we welcome people to our home, we would love to know who our guests are (via the "vibe" of their profile: photos, description, previous reviews, if any etc). We do understand though that this may be your first time booking via AirBnB. In case you haven't already, please add a photo of yourself and short description giving us a feel of who you are, what you're passionate about, what you enjoy doing in your free time etc., and verify your profile with the government ID. Please let us know who will be joining you on the adventure. Is it going to be your first RV living experience? First time in the Eastern Sierra? What has drawn you to our RV camp? We look forward to hearing from you and meeting you soon! We only accept requests from guests with fully completed and verified profiles. Please don't request our place if you're not willing to truly be part of AirBnB community. We're so grateful for all the wonderful travelers we've been able to connect with and host over the years thanks to AirBnB! Taxes, like death, are unavoidable. Our rates include 15% Transit Occupancy Tax (TOT) that is mandatory for any guests staying in Mono County for less than 31 days. Up to two of your fur babies are welcome in the Baja, but we ask that they stay off the furniture (bed, sofa etc.) and are not left in the camper unattended. We bet they can't wait to explore alongside you! Please keep your dogs on leash when at the camp and pick up after them. We love dogs, but sadly we won’t be able to accommodate heavily shedding pets that aren’t house trained.  Additionally, our insurance will not allow "aggressive breeds" that include any mix of: Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Doberman, German Sheppard. Thank you in advance for your consideration.  Please keep in mind that some of the mountain passes - Tioga Road (main road to Yosemite – HWY 120), Sonora Pass (HWY 108), and Monitor Pass (HWY 89) don’t open until May or sometimes even June, depending on the snowpack. Also, some of the passes can be closed during stormy weather. Plan accordingly and always check CalTrans info before traveling. Our camp is located on the Bridgeport Reservoir and we cannot control nor guarantee the water level. The water level varies greatly, based on the snowpack and time of year and will be low if there's a little snow in the winter. Typically, the lake’s edge will recede as the season progresses. So, if you are coming later in the season (late August onwards), you should expect the water level to be lower. With that said, the views and our sunsets are still breathtaking! :-) At Paradise Shores, we believe in protecting people, animals and the planet. We make sure that the majority of products we use at our camp is recycled, composted or re-used. * We strive to reduce the amount of waste we generate and actively promote recycling of aluminum, plastic, glass, and cardboard. We pack our own recycling and haul it to the nearest recycling facility. * We don’t use individually packaged toiletries or one-use products. * Essential oils are used to clean our campers. * We use plant and planet friendly detergent. We live in the desert. We share our precious water with the entire planet. With only 326 million cubic miles of water on the earth, the decreasing amounts of access to quality fresh water is alarming to us. We monitor how we use water in our day-to-day life and are constantly working on ways to reduce our consumption of fresh water. * The water used to wash our linens and towels is recycled to irrigate the numerous gardens on our property. * In all the campers, we provide our guests with “plant friendly” cleaning products. By only using eco friendly products, we are able to use the kitchen and shower’s water to irrigate our gardens. We hope you can help us maintain the greener camping!
