Private Farm Retreat - Right Outside Williamsburg

Description

Ready to add a little adventure (and a few new animal friends) to your Williamsburg trip? Stay at our cozy little homestead, where the coffee is hot and the chickens are nosey. Enjoy beautiful sunrises, sunsets, and starry skies that make it easy to forget the city for a while. Meet the goats and our two slightly obnoxious geese if you’d like! Slow down, breathe deep, and enjoy the countryside—all just 15 minutes from Williamsburg. The space Tucked away on our little six-acre homestead, your private suite awaits—a cozy hideaway with its own driveway, entrance, and all the comforts of a home-away-from-home. Inside, you’ll find a queen bed perfect for lazy mornings, a snug sitting area with a loveseat, electric fireplace and TV, a coffee bar for your daily brew (because coffee is life...at least for me), a microwave, mini-fridge, a small table for snacks or planning adventures, and a spacious bathroom. We've thoughtfully curated the space to feel warm, welcoming, and really cozy. The space is completely yours. Step outside onto your private deck and take a front-row seat to farm life. There are chairs, a propane fire pit and even a small charcoal grill to enjoy. Watch the flowers sway, listen to the breeze, and spot the occasional farmer (that’s us!) watering plants or fetching tools from the garage. We live upstairs with our kids and many furry friends (we have a lot of Golden Retrievers….), so you might hear the scurrying of feet or the random bark (I mean they have to let us know Amazon is delivering a package). At some point during your stay you’ll likely see the pups in the front yard playing and living their best doggo lives. You’ll also likely see us out and about, living our best lives too. And of course—our roosters! They love to sing the sun into the sky each morning (and sometimes feel the need to rehearse again in the afternoon). Most of our chickens now live in their fenced pasture behind the house, along with our goats, but a few particularly determined chickens have decided fences are merely a suggestion and still wander wherever they please. Our geese, meanwhile, are completely free-range and very cute, but obnoxious (they have to fulfill their rightful duties as geese you know). You'll find chicken treats available if you'd like to make some friends. Just be prepared—once the animals figure out you have snacks, you may suddenly become the most popular person on the farm. 😂 Traveling with a pet? We’d love to meet them! Just let us know about your pet when booking. Leashes are a must—our chickens and geese are fearless and, frankly, a little too curious for their own good. Be sure to add the number of pets to your reservation (you'll see it right under "number of guests"). Guest access Welcome to your own little corner of the farm! You’ll have full access to the entire suite and the outdoor deck—plenty of space to sip your coffee, stargaze, or just soak up some fresh air. There’s a separate driveway and your very own entrance, so you can come and go as you please. If you’re feeling adventurous, ask about a farm tour—we’d love to take you around and bring you out back to meet the rest of the chickens and the goats. The geese will be very loud and obnoxious and let you know how they really feel. A friendly note from the chickens: there’s no fenced yard for pets, so leashes are a must. Some of them still escape the fence and free range, and the geese are always on the loose. Other things to note A few of our chickens are professional escape artists and still manage to get out of the fenced pasture to forage around the property. They're friendly, curious, and very interested in new arrivals, so don't be surprised if you find one hanging around outside the space, or following you around like a tiny feathered stalker. If a chicken starts following you, don't worry—they're just hoping you have treats. We keep chicken treats available if you'd like to make some new friends! Because chickens do wander, dogs must be leashed at all times while outside. And one more thing: we do have roosters, and they take their job of announcing the beginning of each day very seriously. Occasionally they also forget what time it is and practice their crowing later in the day. 😂 There is another Airbnb space on the property (spring to fall) - an RV. You may see other guests coming and going. They will also be using the separate driveway to access their space, but have their own parking space towards the front of the driveway. If you need additional accommodations for friends or family (sleeps 6) check out the link below by deleting the spaces before .com: https://airbnb. com/h/bohemianglamsody Our small farm is tucked away in a peaceful, rural area—think stunning sunsets, starry skies, and all the calm you'd expect from the country. But don’t worry, we’re not too far from the action! We’re just minutes off I-64, making it super easy to explore all the local attractions. To make your trip even better, we've put together a handy guide packed with insider tips on local gems, so you can explore like a true local! The area’s got something for everyone: rich history (Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown), theme parks (Busch Gardens and Water Country!), endless outdoor fun (biking, hiking, kayaking, and more), parks, trails, awesome shopping, and antique hunting. Plus, amazing local restaurants, breweries, wineries, and cozy coffee houses. Oh, and did we mention there’s a fantastic local winery just up the road? (You're welcome!) You’ll also find small, scenic beaches in Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Gloucester. And yes, we’ve got good Wi-Fi too, just in case you need to check in on the world outside of your farm adventure. We hope you choose our small farm as your home base and add a little extra fun to your trip!
