The Lookout (First floor with a private lanai)

Stay in the centre of the action in this one-of-a-kind place. Sadul Gunj is a premier residential area of the city well connected and most importantly accessible from all highways. Located in Central Bikaner we are close to everything of tourist interest. This room is a traveller's delight. it is large with a twin bedded setup (which can be joined to make it a double bed) with an ensuite bathroom that provides running hot and cold water. The room has an attached lanai which is private. The space Our home is a 80s bungalow with a large front lawn and wide driveway - large enough for 6 to 7 cars. The property is surrounded by trees and the feel is quite laidback. The guestrooms are distributed between the main building and the two annexes. Meals (if any) are served in the family dining room. We have several spots in the property where guests can enjoy their privacy by sitting with a book, work remotely, or just have enjoyable conversations. The House is superbly located for a traveller. We are in Sadul Gunj which is the premier residential area of Bikaner and it's central. Our property is on the main road and is easily approachable by any vehicle. There is a market with restaurants and cafes nearby. There is a large college campus next door which adds to the sense of openness and fresh air. There is a 2 km walking track for joggers and morning walkers. The train station is 2.5 kms and the airport 18 kms away. For any guests interested in birding there is Jorbeer Vulture Conservancy about 4 kms from us on the outskirts of the city . Other places of interest like the Junagarh fort, the bazaars, Old City with its havelis and temples are all within 5 Kms of the property. Guest access We have a large lawn with seasonal flowers, a small vegetable patch for our kitchen, a courtyard at the back where we have a firepit for winter evenings, an additional patio on the southern side for sunning during the day. Inside, the guests have access to the public areas of the house that is the drawing / dining room, verandah and the large terrace up top. We also have a large private parking within the premises. During your stay The owners are happy to interact with the guests if the guests so want. Evenings are a great time to sit and chat about the day and get to know each other over cups of chai. We usually spend our evenings in the sitting room or in the back courtyard. Vishu keen on birding and wildlife will be happy to arrange trips to the nearby Vulture Conservancy at Jorbeer for guests who are keen birders themselves. Or to Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary. Other things to note Please remember that this is a genuine homestay - with just a few rooms for guests and with us owners living here. It's not a commercial venture nor a hotel claiming to be a 'homestay'. As guests of the family, we will do our best to make you feel most comfortable and interact with you. We do not tolerate rude, loud or unreasonably demanding guests. Pls go through the House rules before you book.
