Description

Set in the moorland countryside of North Ayrshire in the parish of Baidland. This little gem provides all modern comforts yet still retains its charm and character. Built in circa 1500s this former smiddy has been sympathetically restored to form a two storey dwelling that sleeps four. The ground floor has two double bedrooms, one boasting a four poster bed, hand made in Hollond and a wet room. The upper floor has fully fitted kitchen and lounge with a multi fuel burning stove. Smart TV's, WIFI The space The lodge is surrounded by fields and woodland walks nearby, full of wild life. So there is no surprise we often have visitors in the way of deer, foxes, kestrels, buzzards, cuckoo's, woodpeckers, Badgers, stoats, pheasants etc... We also have Highland cows in the field adjacent to the Lodge. There are two pet kune kune pigs, 2 goats and sheep that also reside here. This Getaway is ideal for walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers, clay pigeon shooting and there is some great fishing nearby. The lodge has its own private garden with hot tub, barbecue area and summer house.
