Relax with the family in a peaceful three bedroom fisherman's'cottage, off Harbour Street, in the heart of Whitstable's historic conservation area. Enjoy exploring the Kent coast, just over an hour from London, 7 miles from historic Canterbury. Whitstable's charming High Street is 3 minutes walk from the house, the Sea is 5 minutes away. Whitstable is known for its many independent shops, boutiques, delightful pubs, cafes and restaurants. Terrific seafood abounds ! (Secure bike shed here too). The space Enter the property via the living space and through to dining room and kitchen, equipped with everything you might need. French doors from dining room to the grassed area of garden. Upstairs to the bedrooms. One twin bedroom to right of stairs and a double bedroom to left of stairs. Access to the small single bedroom is via the double bedroom. The bathroom is on the ground floor. Floorplan:- Ground Floor - Dining Room, Living Room, Kitchen and Bathroom First Floor - Single bedroom, Double Bedroom, Twin Bedroom Please be aware that the stairs can be considered steep, which may not be appropriate for those with mobility issues. The garden has two tables affording seating for six and a shed containing a basic charcoal barbecue. There is a back gate to an alley at the back of the property. Useful if you are bringing bikes. Space in shed for 4 bikes. Guest access The station is ten minutes walk away and the beautiful historic City of Canterbury is just 15 minutes bus ride. Buses stop on Harbour Street on the Lower End of Whitstable High Street. If arriving by car there's free on-street parking but might be wise to book ahead with Just Park to guarantee a space. There are also two paid car parks at the end of the road and parking is available overnight in the Keams Yard Car Park for a nominal fee. Once you are parked everything in Whitstable is within easy walking distance. Other things to note Bedlinen and Towels are provided but please bring your own beach Towels. Handwash and sanitiser is provided but feel free to bring your own products for peace of mind. Please note that the stairs are fairly steep, so may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Also all the bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. The kitchen is very well equipped but there is no dishwasher. There is a simple charcoal barbecue, charcoal is not provided and we would request guests to leave it clean when they leave the house. Cushions for the garden chairs are kept in the shed. Buckets/spades/hula hoops for children’s use are located in the shed. Space for storing bikes in the locked garden shed, should you wish to bring bikes. Fits four to five bikes, squeezing in a bit. (It would be a good idea to bring your own lock). It's possible to use three locks on the shed for security. Bikes left in shed at owner’s own risk. Victoria Street is a very friendly street, I would appreciate consideration shown to my neighbours during your stay.
