Situated in the heart of Kuratau on the South West shore of Lake Taupo, our Tongariro Adventures Lodge provides our guests with comfort and space. Our Lodge is designed for you to relax and unwind after your Tongariro Adventure, whatever the season! Close to The Tongariro National Park, The Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Ski fields, beautiful Walks and Rivers, Fishing including the local Kuratau, wonderful to kayak, White Water Rafting, Golf courses. The space Our Tongariro Adventures Lodge is a sheltered sun trap, surrounded by bush and bird song, yet only 100 metres from the beautiful Kuratau beach on Lake Taupo. The Lodge, able to accommodate up to 6 guests, has two bedrooms, each with a Queen bed plus a bunkroom. Our Tongariro Adventures Lodge has a well designed open plan kitchen/dining/living space that opens onto a large covered deck, complete with overhead heating and lighting for extended summer entertaining. In winter The Lodge is kept cosy and warm with an efficient log burner. Guest access Guests have full access to Lodge and garden excluding garden sheds. Other things to note Strategy for dealing with Covid-19. What Tongariro Adventures will provide our Guests: 1. Linen: All bed linen and bath towels are freshly washed and dried through a process called thermal disinfectant, where the temperature reaches a level that will not allow the spores of the Covid-19 to survive. This process is approved by ‘Assure Quality,’ the overseeing body of the food quality industry. 2. Sanitation of surfaces: In accordance with best practice as required by the Ministry of Health, all heavy use surfaces, including bathroom surfaces, power switches, door handles, table tops, cabinets are cleaned and sanitised by our trained staff. 3. Hand sanitiser: Freely available to all guests during their stay. Tongariro Adventures supports the International protocol of self-care through correct hand washing to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus. 4. Social and Physical Distancing: Each of our 3 accommodation areas are set up for 1 group only. Our accommodation structure is designed for 2 people in The Boathouse, 2-4 people in the Tongariro/Pihanga rooms, & up to 5 people in The Lodge. All our accommodation sites are physically separate from each other. There are no external common areas, nor is there any sharing of bathrooms, food preparation stations, eating and living spaces with other groups.
