Unique seaside getaway set in lovely gardens. Just 150 metres from the beach. Perfect for solo travellers and couples. Heritage windows, glimpses of the sea and a treetop feel. Unsuitable if you are mobility challenged or very tall and not wishing to adapt to sloping loft ceilings in the sleeping area. The cottage is 2 storeyed, new bathroom and laundry downstairs, and the kitchen/living/sleeping upstairs via six steepish stairs. Cyclists will love the undercover bike storage. The space Two cottages share one landscaped section with typically west coast ferns, palms and native trees. Each cottage is self contained so the only shared space is the garden and the handy storage area under Fern Arch cottage for bikes, and utilities e.g. steam press, dry racks and freezer Guest access If you book this you will have an entire cottage plus a dedicated parking area under your unit and access to the shared storage area. Other things to note The kitchen is described as a full kitchen as it provides a double hob, induction plate and wok, microwave, elec. frypan, and slowcooker. It does not have an oven. The high speed induction plate will work with the wok and some of our pots and pans, but NOT ALL. If an error message appears it will be because that pot material is not compatible with induction technology. Use the conventional double hob instead. There are two beds one double (always) made up with linen and bedding, and an extra single bed (made up on request). If you require two separate beds or an extra bed, please indicate this at time of booking. The cleaning fee is a one time charge not a nightly charge. So the longer you stay the cheaper your nightly rate. It covers the cost of providing and laundering your bed bath and kitchen linen, cleaning the equivalent of a small house, and the cost of cleaning products and appliances.
