Welcome. The Guest Studio is an independent annex adjoining our architecturally designed home, with your totally private, external, independent entrance. You can enjoy views and access from the ceiling to floor windows/sliding doors of the landscaped garden area or the expanse of the Waimea estuary sea tide on the other side. Launching of two kayaks are available waterside from our own boardwalk. The space Monaco Peninsula in the Waimea estuary area and is a popular spot for water sports, walking, watching the ebb and flow of the estuary tide, kayaking, native bird watching and just, well.... relaxing. Beach towels, kayaks (and of course life jackets), plus the sea air are awaiting you. Enjoy the relaxed private studio with waterside and garden views. The studio adjoins our house (as indicated in the red/white outline in the house photo) with your own separate independent, external and private access. The Studio includes a large bedroom waterside, ensuite and sunny living room to the garden with two courtyard areas for your use. All rooms are double glazed. An area is provided for 'plating up', which includes a microwave, toaster, fridge, kettle, coffee grinder, plunger as well as contemporary crockery and cutlery. A full kitchen is not provided and facilities are similar to a hotel room. Enjoy sampling Nelson's plentiful array of local produce, cafes and restaurants. Simple breakfast goodies (granola, bread to toast, jam preserves, milk, tea and coffee) will be in your fridge for you to prepare for yourself leisurely. A great way to kickstart your day at your own pace. Guest access Entry to the Studio is from your own private independent entryway. Apart from being greeted by the Host on your arrival (or self check in after 6pm), your total privacy is guaranteed. There is a free car park on site and plenty of off site free parking. It is a 3 minute drive (or 15 min walk) to joining the Great Taste cycleway trail, the Honest Lawyer Restaurant and the Brick Eatery restaurant, and a little bit further to the local Stoke Village with cafes, supermarkets and much more. It is a 15 minute drive to Nelson City, a 5 minute drive to Tahunanui Beach, 5 mins to the airport, 10 min drive to Richmond township and 50 minutes to Kaiteriteri and the start of the Abel Tasman National Park. Having a car is highly recommended to explore further afield the delights that the Nelson, Tasman and Golden Bay areas have to offer from your Monaco base. The local public bus stop into Nelson city is a good 25 min walk with minimal service. Other things to note Just enjoy yourself!
