The Possum Room at Glenroy
The Possum Room at Glenroy
Description
This bright and airy studio situated just 10 minutes’ drive from Mount Panorama and the heart of downtown Bathurst is the perfect spot for a relaxing retreat or as a base for exploring the surrounding region. Set in two and a half acres of wildlife friendly gardens, it’s perfect for a couple or the solo traveller. Guest access Access to the Possum Room, parking, the grounds and shared access to the patio overlooking the garden. The bathroom is located nearby to the Possum Room and is available to guests for their exclusive use. Other things to note Glenroy is a natural site, committed to protecting and boosting the biodiversity of the local area. To that end, we keep our grounds weedy and messy to encourage insect, reptile, bird and other animal populations to visit or make their homes here. We use no pesticides, herbicides or fertilisers beyond our own compost which we make on site. While we encourage our non-human visitors to make their homes away from the spaces we make available to our guests, we can’t guarantee a creature-free visit - if you venture into our grounds you are likely to come in contact with bees, wasps, spiders and other creatures traditionally seen as pests but that we view as important contributors to a healthy ecosystem. While we are huge animal lovers and would like nothing more than to have your dog visit us, we’ve committed to ensuring a safe environment for local wildlife so it is with great regret that we don’t allow dogs at Glenroy.
