The Puddler Cottage: 2 beds + poker room!

Come hangout at the Puddler Cottage right next to the historic Newport dive bar in Bayview, Wisconsin. Perfect perch for exploring Milwaukee or hosting, poker/game nights, friend gatherings, bar crawls or unique staycations! Your game room is stocked with cards, darts, small-pin bowling and tons of board games. Stream movie night on the 70" Roku TV. Your full kitchen boasts a bartender cocktail set and a coffee/tea station. The space The Puddler Cottage is an original iron workers cottage next door to The Newport Bar, so it's intended for groups that don't mind the noise and bustle of bars! It's perfect for a solo traveler, couple, a pair of couples, or a small group of friends. The cottage is not designed to accommodate parties or more than 4 guests. Please inquire about any unique requests before booking. You'll enter the Puddler cottage via a small front porch off Conway Street. You'll type your custom door code into the pinpad (keyless entry) and enter the game room. The game room is stocked with a bar-height poker bar with options for craps and roulette, a dart board, a wooden small-pin bowling lane, and plenty of board games. Walk through the game room to the living room with a large and comfortable leather couch and a 70 inch TV with streaming services. At the back of the cottage is a fully stocked kitchen with oven, fridge, and microwave -- and a butcher block table with swinging leather seats, whiskey and cocktail tools, and a coffee bar. Prepare food and drinks, or play games at the huge kitchen table. Comfy bedrooms are designed with luxurious pillows and linens. The first bedroom has a Queen sized bed with reading lights and a full length mirror. The second bedroom has a custom built wall, Full sized bed, leather headboard, and antique mirror. Please note there is only one closet in the front bedroom, the second bedroom does not have a closet. All of the windows have pull down shades except the front door and back porch door. The full bathroom with shower and bathtub is stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The outdoor back porch has two chairs, a small table, and overhang when it rains. Great for a fresh air or a smoke break. We’ve had some trouble with undisclosed parties, so please don’t try to hide a party or gathering from us. We always find out from neighbors and the reservation gets canceled, so it’s just a bad situation for all involved. Send a message before booking with any special situations. Guest access You have full access to this private cabin including back deck. We're not on site, but are a quick message away if there's anything you need. The basement is locked and not available for guests. Other things to note The Puddler cottage has the potential for noise from the bar next door especially on nights, weekends, and game days. Most commonly Sunday afternoons and Fri/Saturday afternoons and late nights. Usually its groups of bar patrons talking and laughing on the patio next to the cottage (see photos for patio). If you're sensitive to noise during these hours, this isn't the spot for you! The bottom step on the front porch is a bit irregular because of the sloping sidewalk — so be careful and mind the step!
