Perfect for family fun or a romantic getaway, you are bound to enjoy your stay on our private and secluded 30 acre retreat. Relax and watch fireflies, listen to birds, crickets, and fish jumping in the private 7 acre lake while sipping your coffee on the patio. During the cooler months, relax and stay cozy while enjoying the changing colors of the leaves or watching the snow fall. Find us on YouTube under “SECLUDED RUSTIC AFRAME” The space As you enter this private estate, you are surrounded by trees, woods, and farms with no neighbors to disturb. Secluded and private, yet located just off of Interstate 74 in Fithian; we are halfway between Champaign and Danville. Just a 20 minute drive east of Champaign and the University of Illinois and a 20 minute drive west of Kickapoo State Park.  Our private lake is stocked with yellow bass, largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, and the occasional catfish. We have two canoes, a paddleboat, and life vests for kids and adults and an assortment of floaties available seasonally at no additional cost. Guests must agree to abide by rules & regulations for water safety, and agree to our release of liability agreement, located in the back of our guestbook. NOTE: AS OF SUMMER 2025-- Unfortunately, our water trampoline is no longer functional after years of use. We have therefore removed the rental fee for our canoes, and hope to replace this with a floating dock (less likely to break!) by Summer 2026. We also have a large playset in the yard for the kids, as well as a two-goal frisbee golf course. The home has two queen beds and six twin bunk beds. We also have a futon and an additional queen-sized air mattress available upon request. (Please let us know if you need extra linens for these beds.) Well-stocked kitchen appliances for all of your cooking needs, as well as a propane grill on the patio. Bathrooms (1 upstairs, 1.5 downstairs) come with all of the essentials. Clean towels, beach towels, and fresh linens are replenished between each stay. Central A/C and heating for your comfort, with an additional portable A/C for the bunk room. For parents, we offer a high chair, potty toilet seat attachment, a 3 in 1 Crib/Playpen so that you can be hands-free and enjoy the space. Outdoor propane grill and a lakeside fire pit are available for use. Firewood is NOT provided, but we do offer one Duraflame log for each guest as a fire starter. While this is a place to disconnect and unwind, we do have cell phone service and satellite internet. There is a large smart TV downstairs and a smaller TV in the bunk room, and plenty of board games and puzzles for the occasional rainy day.  Note: This property is part of mother nature and comes with the inevitable critters and creatures of the wild. Beavers, deer, foxes, and even coyotes have been known to frequent the property. Spiders, bugs, and other creepy crawlies live here too, and we do our best to keep them out of the home. We ask that you help too by always keeping the door to the patio closed behind you. If you are traveling during winter or the rainy season, it is advisable to check the weather first and obtain your personal "Travel Insurance'. As a host, we are not an insurance agency; therefore, in unforeseen circumstances, we cannot refund your money. We hope you understand. Guest access Guests have access to all areas of the home, except for a few locked closets that contain supplies for our cleaners and the garage. There is a gazebo full of pool floaties and backyard games. (Please return everything to its original location after use, or additional fees may apply.) Plenty of free parking. Other things to note Undisclosed pets, guests, and parties are subject to deposit forfeiture or cancellation of the booking without refund. NO SMOKING indoors.
