The Boone Grey Homestead, an 1860's Farmhouse

Come enjoy your time on 110+ acres in our 1860's Farmhouse! Located just 20 minutes from Oneonta, 35 Minutes from Cooperstown and 60 Minutes from major ski resorts, our farmhouse has plenty to offer! Whether you want a peaceful getaway on a dead end road, to fish in the stocked river for Spring Trout or enjoy outdoor winter activities, our Homestead is for you! The space A spacious home with room to roam! Enjoy a warm fire under the stars, a walk in the wilderness, dip your feet in the Charlotte Creek or explore all the area has to offer! An old dairy farm, and next door to an operating farm, this is a rural country setting that is peaceful and serene. I consider this a stay in nature, so while it's open and allows access for your pets to roam, I would caution letting them loose in the evening or early morning just in case there are visitors nearby. Like any country setting, especially in the summer, it's common to see insects and important not to leave doors open to invite them inside. Guest access Guests can enjoy the whole home and surrounding land for hikes, fishing and enjoying the Charlotte Creek. Other things to note We are located less than an hour from Windham, Belleayre, Plattekill and Hunter Mountains. We are 35 minutes from the Cooperstown Dreams Park and 30 minutes from the All-Star Village We are also just 20 Minutes from freshly groomed trails for snowmobiles via the Sharon Pathfinders Snowmobile Club. Access to some local trails is available, but they are lightly marked. A 15-20 minute trailer ride lands you on a groomed network of trails. Our property is close to the New York Safety Track, which operates motorcycle and car training from May - October. You will hear the vehicles, but the hours of operation are 9-5 and they do not run outside of that window. We are a rural, old farmhouse located on a dead end road in the country. During your stay, it’s common to see wildlife and important to not leave the doors propped open during the evening as you’ll attract insects inside the home. Evaporative Air Coolers are available in the bedrooms and there is a single portable A/C unit for the upstairs Master Bedroom.
