The Cabin on Pennington Hill is the perfect rustic cabin for a couple or small group of 4. Set on top of a hill overlooking a beautiful pond, this cabin will give you a true taste of the West Virginia outdoors. The perfect affordable base camp for climbers, rafters, and hikers. You'll spend most of your time outside enjoying the deck and the view but when you move inside you'll have a comfortable queen bed and a futon to sleep on. A basic kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal. This basic cabin is quaint and comfortable. Its primary goal is to be a basecamp for an adventure traveler and it succeeds in that perfectly. The cabin is ideal for a couple but the futon can accommodate another 1-2 guests. There is also an air mattress on site if preferred instead of the futon. The area outside of the cabin is fantastic and has plenty of room to set up tents for a small fee if there are more people in the group that cannot stay inside. Guests have access to the whole cabin and the surrounding area outside. The cabin is located adjacent to the New River Gorge Campground 2 miles from the New River Gorge Bridge and visitor center. 2 miles from Swiftwater General Store New River, which has delicious food options and convenience items. 2.5 miles to “Adventures on the Gorge” which is the base camp for many of the outdoor activities in the area. 4 miles to downtown Fayetteville shops and restaurants Directions to cabin - Very first left after you turn onto Milroy Grose Rd., near the entrance of the new River Gorge Campground. Go up the hill and the smoothest route is to take your first right after the trailer. You will see the cabin up on the hill above you.
