Cottage 1 resembles a small traditional independent village cottage and was constructed with Redstone. The main gathering place for all visitors to the farm is a tiny open kitchen that is connected to cottage 1. The porch of this traditional-looking cottage offers a place to unwind and take a break from the heat of the day. You may also use the porch to work on your computer or read while connected to our high-speed broadband network. The cottage has three single beds that can be connected for larger families or divided for three people. There is air conditioning, a geyser, a little cooking area, a private bathroom, and a mini fridge, and the beds are incredibly comfy. Cottage1 is connected to an open bar-styled mini outdoor kitchen overlooking the farm with a gas connection, wash basin, and cutleries. This can be used to prepare light snacks, tea coffee or just use as a counter to serve beverages. On the other side to the outdoor kitchen, you can access our barbeque setup for people who like to indulge in making barbeques and have a great time with friends and family. Cottage 2 and cottage 3 are two charming cottages with walls constructed of firm compressed red soil to keep the environment dry and comfortable. What makes this even more unique is Cottage 2 & 3 comes with wall sized windows over looking at the pool. Cottage 2 is equipped with a king-size bed overlooking at the swimming pool with, an attached bathroom. Cottage 3 is slightly bigger in size compared to cottage 2 and is equipped with one king-size bed, one single bed with an attached bathroom. All cottages are air-conditioned. . Summers can be hot, and everyone wishes to take a refreshing plunge in cool water. While some just cool off in the pool, the younger generations love to party here all night long and kids have the best time. Kalavady Farmstay is a vacation rental property and the facility is built around the idea of giving a true farm living experience. To encourage an outdoor living experience, TVs are not included in the cottages and guests will be assisting themselves during their stay. Guest will have access to all facilities for a comfortable stay and our caretaker will assist you to quickly settle down and help you from morning 8.30 am to 10:00 pm. This is a self servicing property, Caretaker services will be limited to helping you out and won’t be cooking or giving room services. Kalavady farm stay can accommodate up to 8 people on beds and with extra mattresses on the ground, the property can accommodate up to 12 people based on guests’ comfort level. Early mornings and evenings are very peaceful in the farm. We are super excited to announce that starting from 1st Septmeber 2023, we have opened our in house kitchen. We are fortunate to have a couple, Rahul, and Kajal, who are assisting us in managing our farmhouse and ensuring your comfort during your stay. Both Kajal and Rahul are originally from Lucknow and possess exceptional skills in preparing North Indian cuisine. Kajal, in particular, has experience as a home cook. To maintain a manageable schedule for Kajal, we offer a concise menu with a selection of authentic home-cooked dishes. Rest assured, both Kajal and Rahul prepare the food with love and care. Please keep in mind that quality food requires time to prepare, so we kindly ask for your patience and encourage you to inquire with the staff about approximate serving times. Here are their kitchen hours: ü Morning: Complimentary bed tea/coffee is available at 7:30 AM. ü Breakfast: Served from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM only. ü Lunch: Available from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM only. ü Evening snacks: Offered from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. ü Dinner: Served between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM. ü Please note that our kitchen closes at 10.00 PM. Kalavady farm stay can accommodate up to 8 people on beds and with extra mattresses on the ground, the property can accommodate up to 12 people based on guests’ comfort level. If we have guests the previous day or guests checking in the next day then our standard check in time will be 1pm and check out will be 11am as we need time to clean the space and keep it ready for each guests. Guest access Guest will have access to all three cottages and entire property will be reserved for you, giving you the luxury of absolute privacy. The property comes equipped with a fridge, washing machine, a mini open kitchen over looking the farm with 2 burner gas stove, basic utensils, cooker, frying pans. RO water filter with copper and zync ionization with 99.999% of purification rating, a barbeque setup( extra charge for coal and marination ) ,kettles, swimming pool, outdoor seating and 4 acre of cashew plantation around the cottages. In room amenities, we provide 2 soap, 2 shampoo sachet,2 towels and a toothpaste tube and hand sanitizer in each bathroom. All 3 cottages are airconditioned, equipped with geyser for hot water. The farm is located in the ideal place for nature lovers.Staying at Kalavady Homestay gives you access to Kollur Mookambika Temple, Murudeshwara Temple, Chitrapura Mutt, Kodachadri Hills base point,Maravanthe beach, Someshwara/ottinene beach Byndoor, Kodi Beach, Kundapura, and Hadin Eco Beach, all of which are within 25-minute drive away. This homestay is ideally situated right in the centre point between Kundapura, Kollur Mookambika Temple, and Mudurdeshwara. And within a one-hour drive of this homestay in Udupi are Malpe Beach, Shri Krishna Matt, St. Mary's Island, Idagunji Ganapati Temple, Anegudde Vinayaka Temple, and Sri Sigandur Chowdeshwari Temple, Sri Shankaranaarayana Temple, Kundapur, Shree Vinaayaka temple Gudi - Guddattu and many more off beat locations . Note- For pool, the water will be directly used from the well and the water will be changed regularly as it gets utilized for the farm. Its a working farm and occasionally you might find one or two people doing regular chorus in the farm during the day. Other things to note We love nature and the farm is a big part of our family. We welcome people who appreciate the beauty of nature and would maintain the natural environment in the farm. We strictly don't appreciate littering in the farm. Plastics is a big NO in the farm. If you smoke, we request you to be very careful on where you dispose the buds. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the rooms or bathrooms. Farm is equipped with dustbins in all common points and we request you to use it. Keeping in the interest of safety of our visitors and locals & the animals living around we don't encourage people traveling in the night. Farm gates will be closed post 11.30 am and the gates will be opened only after 6 am. Note- For pool, the water will be directly used from the well and the water will be changed regularly as it gets utilized for the farm.
