The sheepfold overlooks the mill and the gaze is lost in the wilderness up to the horizon. All the ingredients are combined to meet, recharge, reconnect with nature and essential values... Alone, as a couple or as a family! The exposure is from south to southwest and the view extends more than 10 km over the mountains or garrigue, holm oaks and other Mediterranean vegetation share the territory. A river with extremely pure water flows in the middle of the estate, which is about 10 ha. The gîte is arranged as a studio (ideal for 2 people, maximum 4 people) totally independent in what was once the sheepfold of the Mill. It is on 2 levels of 18 m2 each with on the ground floor, the kitchen area (equipped), the living room (with TV) equipped with a sofa bed and the toilet (separate). A high chair for baby is available. Upstairs, the bedroom where the large bed is next to the baby bed adjoins the bathroom (shower). In front of the sheepfold, you will find a magnificent panoramic terrace with table and benches in red Caunes marble and a stone's throw away, an old-fashioned barbecue. The 4m X 10m salt pool is heated when necessary and is between 25 and 28 degrees. A natural swimming pool, without the addition of products, fed by river water but with very fresh water (from 19 to 23 degrees) is accessible during the months of July and August. Around the Mill, you can walk on a green path and reach the village of Vélieux (35 min) or go back to the source (20 min) or even go on an "adventure", in the forest or along the river and who knows choose a place to picnic under a century-old tree... at the foot of the waterfall, in a clearing... Cleaning service if desired. Activities: fishing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, canoeing, caving, Cathar castle region. Very close to Minerva, famous Cathar village 50 km from the city of Carcassonne and many Cathar sites and castles. Wi-Fi is available but on the terrace, the stone walls are too thick. the 4 m X 10 m swimming pool is for the occupants of (only) 3 cottages.
