Perfect rural getaway! Peaceful & secluded lakeside setting for a relaxing adults break in our cosy hut. Pets welcome (xtra). Private bathroom facilities. Fishing available. Countryside walks nearby lead to local villages e.g. Buxted & Hadlow Down or wander round our lakes, ancient woodland and shaws where wildlife and wild flowers abound. Cattle and sheep in our fields nearby. Tunbridge Wells/Brighton 1/2hr drive. Main line trains to/from Buxted/ Crowborough and London (1 hr). Discs for 4 nts+ The space Our 2 huts have been neatly fitted out to provide a comfortable space to unwind and relax in private. They may be small but have all mod cons albeit in small sizes!! Either stay local for a total chill out, or use it as a base for exploring the East Sussex area. Kitchen area has kettle, small fridge/freezer, mini oven/toaster, double ring gas hob, microwave, cafetiere, ironing board and iron, bug zapper, fan, log burner with initial supply of kindling and logs (top up available for extra charge), TV. Wifi. USB point, Bluetooth speaker. BBQ on balcony. Firepit outside on slabs to sit round of an evening. Use of full size fridge/freezer and wash up area with washing machine and line in separate hut. Own private comfortable heated toilet/shower hut a short walk away. Hand towels provided, but please bring own bath/face towels. Several walks nearby to Buxted, Hadlow Down, Rotherfield. Pubs nearby - The New Inn (a really old fashioned drinkers pub), The Buxted Inn, The White Hart, The Blackboys, The Hurstwood plus several in Crowborough, Uckfield and Heathfield. Takaway menus in the hut for collection or delivery. Coarse Fishing (carp to 20lbs, plus many varieties of other silver fish roach, perch, tench, orfe, gudgeon, dace.). available for £10 per day (2 rods pp Must have a current angling licence). Full details sent on booking. MAX 2 PETS £10 per pet per stay (payable on arrival please). Must be kept on leads, except for our empty fields that we will show you, and the swimming lake. Not allowed on bed. And please pick up after them. Small safe for your valuables inside plus Keysafe outside. We fill the bird feeders hanging on your balcony and you'll have a good view of our local birdlife from the warmth and privacy of your hut! Extra logs and charcoal available to buy on site. Guest access Set in 32 acres and 200 mtrs off the main road, you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and stunning views to the South Downs. Several lakes to wander around + wild swimming in our spring fed top lake. Meander through various ancient woodland shaws and see herons, buzzards, hawks, partridge, pheasant, rabbits, wild ducks, geese, coots, moorhens and kingfishers + many garden birds such as robins, wagtails, goldfinches, tits etc. Our suckler cows (sometimes with calves at foot) and a few sheep are in some of the fields. Please note they are fenced off, no access allowed. Dogs can run free in our empty fields which will be pointed out to you on arrival. Other things to note Welcome pack on arrival consists of rolls, croissants, butter, milk, juice, drinking water, tea, coffee, sugar. Also supplied, condiments such as pepper, salt, cooking oil. Nearest supermarkets in Crowborough (Waitrose, Lidl, Morrisons, Sainsbury Local, Tesco). Small supermarket in Buxted. Petrol stations, Morrisons, BP and Esso in Crowborough. Esso + 2 others in Uckfield.
