The house includes a washing machine and dryer, functional kitchen, and entertainment system to make a stay of any length feel like home. The house is located in northwest D.C., a residential neighborhood that boasts some of D.C.'s top restaurants and bars. D.C.'s viral bagel deli (Call Your Mother), the hottest beer gardens (Hook Hall and Midlands), and best pizza (Sonny's), is just around the corner from the house. D.C.'s historic attractions (the White House and National Mall) are accessible on foot, an easy metro, or a quick 15-minute car ride. The house is located directly across from a police station, making it one of the safes blocks in the city. Accommodations: We have 4 bedrooms and one dining room converted to a bedroom, each with two or more beds, allowing for sleeping accommodations for up to 16 guests. Each bedroom has a brand-new and comfortable memory foam mattresses with fresh linens, extra blankets, towels, washcloths, and all the other essentials you'd expect from a well-stocked home. Entertainment: Alexa and smart TV with any app you could desire available, from netflix, hbo, showtime, and local television. Just login to your account to enjoy! But don't miss the private backyard with a gas BBQ grill and sitting area. Kitchen: Modest kitchen stocked with plenty of dishes, cups, silverware, wine glasses, etc. for up to 12 place settings and assorted cooking supplies. In addition, the house boasts Nespresso coffee machine with free coffee pods, electric tea kettle featuring an assortment of tea, a blender, toaster, sandwich press, and ice cream machine! Booking: We prefer a 2 night minimum for guests, however will happily consider special requests. We do not allow any large parties at the house and enforce guests maintain quiet hours after 12pm. Location: Situated between the Columbia Heights/Park View neighborhoods, the President's Residence is 3-4 blocks from two metro stations (Columbia Height and Georgia Ave/Petworth) which carry the yellow and green line trains running directly to Downtown DC, National Mall, Convention Center, Nat's Stadium, Reagan airport and more. The house is in an extremely walkable community with several restaurants, bars and convenience stores 1-2 blocks in every direction. Parking: The house is accessible most easily by metro and uber/lift. But if you're traveling with your own vehicle, we can provide one visitor parking pass for your vehicle that will let you park on the street in residential areas for the duration of your trip. Please request this pass at least 1 day prior to your arrival. Bathrooms: We provide fresh towels, washcloths, and soap, shampoo, conditioner in each shower as well as spare tooth brushes and toothpaste in case you forgot yours. Washing Machine: A large washing machine and dryer on the main floor, supplied with everything you need to wash and dry your clothes. Plus, an iron and ironing board on the second floor to make your clothes look perfect for any event. Guest access Guests will have full access to the entire first and second floors of the house and exterior spaces, including front, rear first and second floor patios. Other things to note PARKING: There is ample street parking available within a few blocks of the house, and regulations allow visitors to park on one side of the street during the weekends from 8:30PM Friday through 7AM Monday. However, over the week days, there is a two-hour limit for vehicles without a resident pass. We may be able to provide one visitor parking pass for the weekdays upon request. HOUSE RULES: We strictly enforce these rules, and any violations will forfeit your security deposit and incur additional charges for any damage or cleaning required as a result. If you have any questions about them, please contact us. We are happy to clarify and respond quickly. - NO SMOKING INSIDE: We do not allow any smoking of any kind inside the house. We do allow smoking on balconies and on the back patio, however smokers need to clean up after themselves. Any damage to furniture from embers will be taken from security deposit. - NO PARTIES OR OUTSIDE GUESTS: We do not allow big parties at the house or allow outside guests (i.e those not staying at the property as part of your reservation). If you intend on hosting a gathering that is larger than your party size, please contact us for authorization. - QUIET HOURS 11PM-9AM: You must keep noise to a minimum from midnight to 9am. As a townhouse the walls are shared with the neighbors and there is a separate apartment in the basement. Noise can travel easily, and we are in regular communication with neighbors. We request guests be respectful of the neighbors and quiet hours. - NO PETS WITHOUT APPROVAL: We don't allow pets of any kind without prior approval, unless authorized service animals with proper documentation. If you would like to bring a pet, we may charge a separate fee and ensure they do not disturb the property or neighbors. Registration Details Hosted License: 5007242201000141
