This space is equipped with a Nespresso coffee maker on the coffee/tea bar and a double fridge for your groceries. If you’re old school and love your drip cup of coffee, it is also equipped to match that need accordingly. It also has a French press just for extra measure! Inside the bedroom is your own washer/dryer set hidden behind the closet doors when needed during your stay. Relax and discover downtown Vancouver on foot following the historic discovery trail we share with you on your first morning during your stay. Whether you're looking for a cozy personal staycation or retreat from your day to day or you’re visiting town for work or pleasure we’ve got you covered! The vibrant Downtown Vancouver is just a 5 to 10 minute scenic walk and the brand new waterfront park within a 20 to 30 minute scenic walk to discover a bustling wine and dine scene. Overall it’s just close to everything! Even just a short drive to Vineyards and casinos in Ridgefield WA, great golf courses around the area and a short drive to the gorge hiking mecca. Moving on, sleep tight on the very (highly rated by past guest reviews) comfortable and cozy queen bed in your bedroom with enough storage for your belongings. In addition, a designated working space to boot. Around the corner is your own private bathroom with everything you need. In the bedroom closet are waffle robes for your use during your stay. For more sleeping space head back to the living room for the unique and comfortable queen size pull-out bed for additional sleeping space for your party. This space can sleep up to a total of 4 adults. By the way, just outside of your bedroom is a deck for an outdoor zen when you're ready to relax on a nice Pacific NW day. Finally, there are quaint places to visit around the neighborhood within a walking distance. Walk eastbound on Evergreen to visit them or walk westbound on Evergreen and you will experience the Fort Vancouver area and the downtown Vancouver area as you wish. This home was built in the 1920s and this is pretty much a given for older homes in this era. Walk East on Evergreen Donn Allen’s Crosley Lanes - visit one of Vancouver’s most iconic landmark before it’s forever gone for redevelopment. D & C Mailboxes and More - walk further east if you need to ship out anything, notary or make copies for work. Evergreen Wine Cellar - walk further east and you’ll find this cute little cellar with some great local wines and a great local owner. She has a nice cozy place tucked away in the back! Breakfast at Christine’s - right next to the cellar is a busy spot for a good old American breakfast and brunch place! Evergreen Mini-Mart - is just across the street from Christine’s if you want to grab something quick and don’t wish to drive anywhere. Keep walking the same direction and you’ll come across a small plaza to the right with a tanning boutique, Pilates studio, hair salon, massage therapy and a cosmetic/make-up studio. Finally, walk all the way to the light and busy intersection of Grand Ave and Evergreen Blvd and this intersection features 2 barber shops on each side of Grand Ave, a local coffee roaster Paper Tiger, a teriyaki place about North of the intersection and a florist in the shopping plaza. Walk West on Evergreen Officer’s Row/Historic Fort Vancouver - less than a 5-minute walk from your space. Once there be sure to walk real slow to capture the scenic beauty of what is dubbed “Officer’s Row”! A bit further is an Award Winning 3-Story Vancouver Public Library - about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the house and arrive Downtown Vancouver just over the FWY bridge. The library has a rooftop to hang out on and on a nice clear day you will see a view of Mt Hood. Downtown Vancouver - the food scene here is diverse from Sicilian, Laotian, Thai, Pub or American, Brewery, Japanese/Sushi, Mexican, etc! Vancouver Waterfront Development - a far yet scenic walk that we frequent ourselves during the summer and highly recommend to do at least once! Most likely 1.5 miles each way. You can always catch an Uber on the way back to the house for less than $10. You can get here by foot in many ways. Walking through the Fort Vancouver is what we would recommend the most!
