The space Our Home We have a comfortable, traditional style, newly built house with modern interior amenities, in the small village Spilia, Larissa just at the foot of mount Kissavos with a spectacular view of the top. Viewing from the veranda the mountain seems so close that you’re ready to start your walk up the minute you see it. Our flat is spacious with three bedrooms, bathroom with shower, modern kitchen and comfortable living room with a fireplace and great view. There is a very big veranda with barbecue and spectacular view of the mountain. Should you need additional bedding; for larger groups, interior staircase leads to attic where extra beds and bathroom are available. Also you can use extra room and beds located downstairs. The house is very cool in summer as the village is situated 850m above sea-level and it is excellent for winter time, too. The situation of the village on the mountain together with the local microclimate offer a perfect dry and cool climate ideal to enjoy and relax but also very healthy. Central heating and the fireplace together with the picturesque view make the place warm and cozy for guests. The kitchen has everything you'd expect including an electric cooker and oven, big fridge, coffee-maker, juice maker. There is a laundry room with a washing machine a large flat screen TV and internet connection. The village has two taverns where you can enjoy local Greek tradidional cuisine. Ideal for small groups of people who love nature, calmness and adventure. You can bring pets but they can not be in the house. There is special sitting room for smoking, not in the house. There is special loung area for parties or happenings for your use with fully equiped kitchen, espresso cafe machine and stereo system. Guest access The area You have the feeling of being in a remote village in the mountains yet you are only 30 minutes away from a major city Larissa, 30minuts away from the nearest beach to swim and just 20minutes away by car from point where you can start your one hour hike up the mountain to the peak at 1976m. Here on clear days you have a spectacular wide range view of all the area of central Greece, with view of various other mountains as Olympus, Athos, Pelion, Pindos and other. The nature in the surrounding area is of unique beauty with roads and trails to explore it. The West side of the mountain offers spectacular views and formations whereas the east side, lushly vegetated, hosts one of the most unique forestal environments in Europe, known only by few, for its beauty and diversity of species. The mountain and the area is part of the Natura 2000 European network. (A European nature protection program for the conservation of nature, established in May 1992 for the protection of species and their habitats). Driving on an excelent paved road through a beautiful forest passing by small canyons with small waterfalls you can be at the beach in 20-30 minutes and a variety of many other beaches in 40 - 60 minutes. If you choose you can go shopping or to eat in Larisa in 30 minutes or even visit Spectacular Meteora in 80 min.
