Elegant 1st floor apartment in 18th Century Chateau situated in its own 32 acre estate with well maintained grounds, orchards & tree-lined avenues. Secluded heated swimming pool complete with loungers. Tennis court & Sports Area. Spectacular views from 6 full height windows. One of only 4 apartments within the actual Chateau, accessed via a grand stone staircase. The estate includes 15 other apartments in restored buildings, so the extensive grounds are shared with other residents. The space The property comprises a period spacious drawing/dining room which provides breathtaking views from 3 full height windows, each with window seats. The views are spectacular, extending over the Chateau grounds, the Coeur d'Honneur and surrounding countryside. Chestnut floor throughout the apartment. Galley style kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, fridge, coffee machine etc with full height windows. Master bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom. The master bedroom has a French sleigh style bed, chest of drawers, bedside tables, wardrobe and full height windows. The second twin bedroom has similar furniture and views but with 2 French sleigh style beds. A separate family bathroom includes a washing machine. Guests can wander freely around the grounds, enjoying the glorious views and quiet spots for picnics and BBQs. Small charcoal BBQ and outdoor table and chairs are supplied so you can dine anywhere on the estate. Secluded walled/fenced swimming pool, tennis court and sports area, comprising table tennis, basketball & badminton. Guest access All of the extensive Chateau grounds and park land are shared with others staying on the Chateau estate, so you can freely wander and explore the gardens, terraces, orchard and avenues. The pool is open all day (mid-May to end Sept) and the tennis court, table tennis/ping pong table, badminton court and basketball are free to access whenever you wish. Private parking at the Chateau. Car (or bikes!) are recommended as this is rural France. The apartment is situated on the 1st floor of the Chateau and you will need to climb a grand stone staircase to access it. IMPORTANT: Not suitable for young children due to full height windows throughout apartment. Other things to note All of the 32 acres of beautiful gardens and park land are available for your leisure, as is the pool, tennis court, ping pong table, basketball and badminton court. The external grounds are shared only with others staying on the Chateau estate, including some in full time residence. You have exclusive use of a portable outdoor table and chairs and a small charcoal Weber BBQ is also supplied to allow you to picnic anywhere in the extensive grounds. The pool is professionally maintained on a weekly basis and is heated. It is generally open from mid-May to end September. You will be met by our local English and French speaking host, Laura, who will share with you the guest manual and provide a tour of the apartment and Chateau grounds.
