A cozy rural cabin only an 8-min drive to Livingston Manor shops, CAS gallery & our fabulous Livingston Manor bakery, eateries & breweries. A fishing, hiking, kayaking paradise only 2 hours from NYC . We’re conveniently across from The Arnold House & its tavern. We have set the cabin up to have a luxury feel in a casual setting ideal for a weekend or long stay, with a front porch and private back deck for the most amazing stargazing. We welcome everyone and are LGBTQ friendly. The cabin has a small footprint but everything you could need for 1-2 people. Bright, sun-filled living room with beautiful views out of big windows & skylights, smart tv, kitchen with stove/oven, new full-size fridge, countertop island seating and all the fixings for breakfast (coffee, tea, oatmeal,, fresh farm milk or organic oat/almond milk, super comfy queen bed & pillows and a bathroom with a big walk-in shower and fluffy cotton towels. The cabin has a privacy fence, lots of trees, a beautiful wooded mountain view from the living room and front porch and a back deck for soaking up the country air and stargazing. You have your privacy, but feel free to reach out by text or phone if you need anything, including local recommendations. We also have local guides, maps and an online guidebook. Guests have full use of the cabin, front porch and back deck during their stay. The cabin has 2 chairs on the private back deck and shares a fire pit with my main house backyard…you may only buy local firewood (to prevent bringing bugs from other areas that can harm our trees) or text and you can buy some from us. We live in the house next door (the only one nearby) and are always available by text for anything you need before or during your stay. We are super friendly and available but have set up the cabin for easy use guests who prefer their privacy, especially during Covid times. The cabin is located in a rural area with views, colorful sunrises, country ambiance and clear sky nighttime stargazing. You are minutes away from Roscoe, 20 min to Callicoon, and 30 min to Narrowsburg & Cochecton. The area is a nature wonderland with hiking, kayaking, tubing and fishing and more! Main Street Livingston Manor is 7 minutes away and it’s a short walk across the road to the The Arnold House, close enough to walk over for a drink, meal or takeout. The country has bugs, critters and wildlife, so keep doors closed and don’t leave food out, dirty dishes or any food outside. As much as we use natural repellents you might see spiders or a very rare mouse, if you cannot handle that you should avoid the area. There is a Shortline bus to NYC but limited local transportation and Uber/Lyft options at the moment, so you will probably need a car unless you can book a local driver. The cabin is located off of a road with a wooded back and side yard, so while it’s the country, you are not fully nestled in the woods. You will hear cars and on summer weekend nights you will often hear music from The Arnold House across the street (until 10-11p). As much as the cabin is fully reno area with new, modern feel we are also in a rural area and have field mice and spiders, flies and other insects that are impossible to fully keep out. So please do keep back screen door closed. We have tried to anticipate everything you might need to make your stay more enjoyable, from local guides, to extra blankets, puzzles, books and a Bluetooth speaker among other amenities.
