Description
What a lovely space on one end of the Lodge! You can sit here and look down the valley at such beauty. The Hideaway was named after the Roosevelt Mine, which opened in 1907 after the gold and silver crash, reportedly closing in 1919 due to differences amongst the owners. Although it never operated commercially after that time, veins were pursued until the 1930’s. President Roosevelt actually visited Pitkin and stayed at the local hotel which is still in operation. The space Parking is free and you have your own spot. This room is one of 3 private apartments each with its own private entrance and part of a lodge with a full restaurant and gift shop. Other things to note You may ride your ATV’s and dirt bikes on town streets directly from the lodge up to trails.
