If you need a lakefront break from every day life you will LOVE this hidden gem. Enjoy stunning views from almost every room in a tranquil atmosphere. This peaceful, airy cottage features a lakeside patio for soaking up the sun and a beautiful window filled sun room. Sleeps 2 couples and two children/singles. Perfect for a couples retreat, a girls/guys getaway or a family vacation. Serene, yet minutes to shopping, boat launches and dining. PLEASE read the "Other things to note" section The space The perfect spot for a getaway in any season. Enjoy the outdoors no matter what the weather in the beautiful enclosed sunroom. Cozy and cottagey, this traditional pine cottage (the first one built on our bay) with eclectic decor offers a relaxing peaceful vibe with all the comforts of home. A bright open living room adjoins a window filled sunroom. The well appointed kitchen and outdoor BBQ ensure you can cook up a storm! Ceiling fans in every room and the cool lake breeze keep the cottage comfortable on hot days. Soak up the sun, or enjoy the shade, on the attached deck with large umbrella. Fall asleep listening to the waves, and enjoy the stars by the firepit. Watch for the Bald Eagles fishing, the many species of song and water birds and keep an eye out for our resident Mink sunning on the break wall. We have a selection of games and books for those rainy days, a Google TV so you can log in to your streaming services, and we are one of the few places to have the recently updated fibre optic high speed WIFI. Tell your boss you're working from home-he'll never know LOL! The adjacent cottages are often empty, adding to the quiet and seclusion. The front yard has a small fenced area suitable for pets, small children or that crazy Uncle who drinks too much ;-) We are a short scenic drive from the town of Dunnville, which has almost anything you could need. If you like day trips continue East to the Wineries of Niagara or check out the Falls! You can also head West and explore Port Dover, Turkey Point or the beautiful Long Point nature areas. Although...you may not want to leave the cottage :-) Guest access The whole property is for you to enjoy (minus a small utility closet lol)! There is a sandy beach minutes away at Knights resort, a nice walk, it does require a day pass purchase. Great for kids! Or, 7 kilometers West on Lakeshore is a public sandy beach. It's free and worth the short drive! Other things to note Please bring your own sheets/pillowcases and towels, thank you for your understanding. The recycle bin and a spare BBQ tank are in the grey bin beside the front door. *As we are right on the lake please be aware that this does mean there can be insects around! Thankfully they do not bite like the mosquitoes and black flies of the North! We take great pride in presenting an extremely clean property, but these things are unavoidable and a fact of lake life. We spray, we dust, we vacuum their little lives away and destroy their homes with a vengeance! We take apart windows and clean inside them, should any arachnid try to escape! We hunt down gnats like John Wick! We make every effort to provide you a clean and welcoming space but the great outdoors is it's own thing.
