Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Whether you enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the small mountain town life or exploring the outdoors from hiking, fishing to skiing or both, you will find Orchard Nook 2 to be a great space to use as your hub for all your vacation activities. This little two-story corner gem will have you relaxing in no time. A simple space that has shadows of a time, not too long ago, when afternoons lingered, friends and family hung out longer and smiles were just around the corner. Guests have access to the entire house and the yard. There is off street parking available as well as street parking. I live mainly in Harpers Ferry about 3 hours away, so I am not in Elkins full time. However, I am reachable by phone or messaging. When I am in Elkins, which is often, I enjoy meeting my guests and getting to know a little about them. I also have a co-host, Sue, who, should I be unreachable, is well, reachable. I strive to make sure guests’ needs and/or concerns are answered and met as quickly as possible. With that in mind, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or requests you may have regarding your stay. This charming little home sits in a quiet, relaxed neighborhood and is situated so that you will have sunshine inside for most of the day. You will find it is very convenient to shops, restaurants, grocery stores, a brewery and the train station. The best way to get around is by car, however, the Allegheny Bike Trail is pretty much just around the corner as is D&E College so bring your bike if you like good old fashioned muscle power to get you around. This is a sweet old house built in the 1920’s. The closets are typical of the period, small and narrow. The full bathroom is upstairs with the half bath in the basement.
