Old Moshi is home for many generations,is a traditional tribal chagga villages, here you'll spend a day with us exploring the majestic KIDIA waterfalls, and experience Chagga hot meals like Starch banana, pilau, Mtori(banana and Beef stew), Maduma, Kitawa ,Organic vegetables and Fruits. You'll also experience Coffee tour where you will participate in creating your own brew from our high altitude beans. The old Moshi Villages is home for many generations, I was born here and i am passionate about this Land's nature ,history and beauty. This village is the root of Moshi town, in ancient time the town was in this village before to move to the current Moshi town.The villages are along the slopes of the majestic Mountain, The Kilimanjaro icecap mountain. We love sharing about the area and the knowledge with travelers. You'll be met by your Host at a convenient spot in Moshi town or either at Airport (with private costs) to the Hotel or at your Hotel, then we will start our trip together to the village from the Hotel. You will spend sometime at the waterfall which is melted snow runoff from the Kilimanjaro and is very pure, you'll swim, take photos and enjoying the nature. After this you'll enjoy the coffee Ceremony and learn the history of the robust Coffee, how to harvest and process the Coffee from farm to Table,Listening to the ancient Coffee Songs as it is ground by and roasted locally by firewood. When you are in Moshi you will be able to visit many places with your host for free, experiencing people's lifestyle. We will also have an evening walk around the streets in town, visiting Curio shops, Art gallery and Moshi historical railway station. We will also do Hiking around the majestic Kilimanjaro mountain where you will get the view of the abundant icecap mountain and feels like it's one step ahead you. You shall also get an occasion to organize for a day trip to KIKULETWA(CHEMKA) hot Spring which is about one hour from Moshi town. At chemka hot spring you will pay the entrance fee at the get then you will be able to swim and enjoy the hot water which last through ought the year.When on the way to Kikuletwa hot spring, we will be able to spend some of our time getting to Maasai village and enjoy maasai Songs, dressing style and learn how to dress Maasai Shuka, experience the Maasai meals and history. When in Moshi, you will be given a chance to organize a day trip with your Host to the neighborhood regions(Arusha & Tanga) where you will enjoy number of flora and Fauna in Parks which are found in neighborhoods,like Manyara, Arusha, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro conservation Area. MOSHI is a very safe place where you will meet many people from different tribes,regions,and countries. The people are very safe and friendly.
