"Bakers Creek Chalet" Lucaston, is a spacious Chalet nestled in the rolling hills of the Huon Valley, just 35 minutes from Hobart's CBD. The newly renovated space has beautiful character and a welcoming homely feel. It's the perfect space to relax, go for walks, stroll in the gardens, feed animals, sip on wine around firepits and so much more. Enjoy a cuppa on the balcony amongst singing birds, stunning views and the chatter of farm animals. It's a beautiful spot for a little getaway! The space Bakers Creek Chalet is situated next to the main house on 2 acres of land with beautiful gardens, veggie patches and heaps of native trees. The home welcomes you with a spacious open-plan living area. It's been recently renovated with a brand-new kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen has all the amenities you need except for an oven, however, you can cook up a mean roast outside on the BBQ or Kettle if it's on the menu. There's a heat pump that warms up the space in the cooler months and a ceiling fan for the one day of the year it might get a bit warm. There are two couches, one is a sleeper couch for additional guests. Upstairs you will find a very spacious bedroom with a queen ensemble, single bed and washroom. The room leads out onto a balcony with beautiful mountain views where you can enjoy a morning coffee or read a book on the sun lounge. We welcome young families and have a travel cot on request along with a single bed in the bedroom. If a teenager prefers their own space, as mentioned, there's a sofa bed in the main living area. If two couples are staying, you might have to flip a coin for the master. Always advise in advance if you will need bedding for the sleeper couch. You are very welcome to explore the property, especially the gardens. Go for a little wander and enjoy. Watch the birdlife or head up the back paddock to feed the goats and sheep. There is a firepit area that's a perfect spot to relax and take in the views. If you love to BBQ, you will find an outside area alongside the Chalet with a Kettle BBQ and standing Fire Pit. Wood can be provided at a small fee. We also have a gas BBQ and Pizza Oven on our patio which guests are welcome to use. There is so much to see on Baker's Creek Road and guests love to walk/run and explore. The Chalet is ideally situated to all the nearby wineries, mountain walks, quirky shops, restaurants, cafes, farm stalls, and more. As mentioned before, the gardens and back paddock are areas for guests to enjoy. Other things to note A lot of guests want to explore some of the highlights of the Huon. We are less than 7km away from Willie Smith's Apple Shed, Home Hill Winery and the famous Summer Kitchen. There are several wineries in the area to explore on a round-day trip which include Kate Hill Winery, Frank's Cider House, Pagan Cider, Hartz View Vineyard, Hartshorn Sheep Whey Distillery and so many more. If you want to explore a beautiful mountain and potentially see snow, Hartz Mountain is less than an hour away with the Tahune Airwalk and Hastings Caves nearby.
