Les Hirondelles - cosy 2-bedroom cottage with pool

Les Hirondelles is ideal for anyone looking to get away from it all. Set in two acres of lovely grounds overlooking a beautiful, unspoilt valley, with plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors, explore the local area, or to simply sit and relax. Nestled in the hamlet of St Civran it offers rustic French accommodation but with everything you need to make your holiday truly special. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The space Sunflower Cottage sleeps up to 5 people. It has two bedrooms and a WC upstairs. Downstairs has a large shower room, living room with wood-burning stove and a kitchen. The kitchen has a dining area, fridge, freezer, cooker and microwave. Sunflower Cottage has It has its own terrace with garden furniture for outdoor dining and access to a bbq. The terrace opens on to a large enclosed garden and pool, which are both shared with other guests. There is English and French TV, and free Wi-Fi. There is also a newly fitted air-conditioning unit in bedroom 1. The Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 - 1 double bed, 1 single bed Bedroom 2 - 2 single beds The Outdoor Area: There is so much for children to enjoy at Sunflower Cottage. In the garden are swings, slide and plenty of outdoor toys for small children. There are also family games including badminton, boules and croquet. We can provide travel cots, high chairs, stairgates, and some other baby equipment on request. Barbeques (with enough fuel for the first barbecue), garden furniture, English and French TV, DVD players and free Wi-Fi are all included. The outside has been cultivated beautifully, so you can enjoy dining on the patio, or relaxing in the shared walled garden. There is a 10m x 4m in ground swimming pool which is shared with the owners and other guests. The pool is unheated but covered when not in use to keep the water temperature at a good level. Normally in the summer we try to keep the water temperature between 26 and 29 degrees. In early and late season the water may be quite cold (we don’t open the pool unless the water is at least at 22 degrees). The pool is in a secure gated area with its own terrace and beautiful views across the valley and is available each day between 10am-12pm and 2pm-5pm (and at other times by arrangement). Please note that we are in an area that experiences frequent severe droughts so we therefore ask guests to be careful about water loss from the pool so that we can be good citizens. There is strict policy of no diving, no jumping and no splashing because of this. Les Hirondelles is the perfect place for the family to enjoy a relaxing holiday together. Guest access Guests will have the entire property of Sunflower Cottage for themselves. There are two other Airbnb properties on site, and the owners live on site. The walled garden and swimming pool may be shared with other guests. No smoking allowed inside the property. No pets. Other things to note During the Summer Season (July & August) we can only accept bookings for minimum 7 night stays from Saturday-Saturday. This will be relaxed 6 weeks in advance of any remaining available dates, so you may be able to get a shorter booking last minute.
