Home in Lamy
Description
Just 25 minutes from Santa Fe, the sleepy rail town of Lamy, NM, is home to this sweet two-room, 1.5-bath Rail House across the street from the train station, where Georgia O'Keeffe first discovered northern NM and decided to stay. Each of this charming home's rooms has both a bathroom and outdoor lounging area off of it. One room contains the kitchen, a seating area, and wood-burning stove, the other has a living and dining area, desk, comfortable king bed and a single bed. The space The space is light-filled and comfortable and the town, save for the train that passes through twice a day, is beautifully quiet. Experience New Mexico as it once was. The exquisite Galisteo Basin Preserve, home to walking, biking and riding trails, is a short two-mile drive away. The house, in earlier incarnations, was an artist's studio and a blacksmith's workspace. Guest access You will need a car to get around the area. Other things to note We allow no more than four guests, including children/infants. The house is accessible to people with mobility challenges. We have robust internet and guests can use the wifi to connect to their cell service if their cell provider does not have towers nearby. Most of our guests have had no trouble accessing their cell service through our wifi.
