The space Two room cottage, built against a former cowshed (is now in use as a storage room), with a spacious garden of about 700 m2. Home is the first recreational home if you come across the Afsluitdijk. The location is unique with a view of the Wadden Sea dike and the IJsselmeer is less than a 100-meter walk away. Walk the other way and discover the (fish)lake tucked between the bushes. Come relax! There is no TV, there is also no WiFi. However, a record player with records of the Beachboys, the moms and the Papa's and Jefferson Airplane. The bathroom has a toilet, sink, shower and infrared sauna. There is no projector with dolby surround. However, there is a binoculars to see the flying geese and swans. There is no outdoor swimming pool. However, there is plenty of space, a fire pit. Guest access Parking is available on your own property in front of the cottage. If you come by public transport, you can get off the bus at Zurich junction and walk from there to the house (about 500 meters). Other things to note Complete your stay by grabbing the bike and visiting the places nearby. Such as Makkum with its historic center and long sandy beach or go see the brown fleet in the historic seaport of Harlingen. Do also a day at Afsluitdijk. Visit the bunkers at the Kazemattenmuseum, enjoy the wide view from the monument or watch the construction of the fishmigratier river. History, sports, nature but also (future) energy come together here. You can do a great dinner in the area. The Hajé restaurant is about 500 meters walk (behind the viaduct). Makkum has a number of excellent restaurants: - It Posthus, Excellent cuisine for an evening enjoyment - Beach bar Thuishaven: cozy beachvibe - Strandhuys Makkum, Great food on the beach during the setting sun, - Iterij's heart: Quick bite, with great shoarma hotels, - pizzaria La Piccolla: delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere. - and so on.
