While new construction partially obstructs the view, ocean vistas remain. The feds suspended the construction, ensuring a peaceful stay. The space Puerto Vallarta is booming, and our neighborhood is seeing lots of new development. A large project just down the hill has partially blocked the view from our pool and second level. We’ve adjusted our pricing and have successfully halted construction for now due to height violations. A quick heads-up for guests planning to drive: our hill is steep, and when your car is loaded with luggage, there’s about a 50% chance it might not make it all the way up. We highly recommend using our amazing transportation partners — they know the area well and handle the hill without any trouble. If you are not comfortable with walking a short uphill stretch or if you think the hill would ruin your stay, please do not book this property. We have many guests who understand the location and are excited to stay — and do not want guests who leave negative reviews because they ignored clear advice! You’ll find plenty of dining and lounging options: a table for two in the kitchen, a cozy couch and coffee table in the bedroom, and poolside seating just steps from your door! The kitchen includes a coffee maker (with unlimited coffee/tea), a compact fridge/freezer, stovetop, toaster oven, microwave, and blender. WAIT, THERE'S MORE Yes! The first-floor villa also offers super-fast, private Wi-Fi (150 MB), a new AC unit in the living area/bedroom, a smart TV, free parking, easy keyless access, and on-site laundry with supplies. SLEEP LIKE A KING We understand the importance of a restful night's sleep, so we’ve thought of everything to ensure maximum comfort. Your bedroom is equipped with a luxurious memory foam mattress, a variety of plush pillows, hotel-quality soft sheets, AC for perfect temperature control, and a sound machine that offers soothing options like white noise, rain, or ocean sounds to lull you to sleep. We’ve even included earplugs in case your partner snores! This unit is conveniently located on the first floor, sharing the same level as the pool, which is used by guests in the other three units but is rarely busy. You'll walk down three flights of stairs from the main entrance to reach the first floor. While your room has lovely views of the pool, privacy is assured with blackout and privacy curtains. When you step outside to relax by the pool, work (yes, the Wi-Fi works by the pool!), or soak up the sun, you can enjoy a variety of pool floats as well as a grill. Many guests say it feels like having their own private pool despite sharing it with others. FLOOR PLAN 1st Floor Main Living Area + King Bedroom: A fully stocked kitchenette with a cozy two-person dining table and sliding doors that open to the pool area. A private entrance to your king en suite bedroom, complete with a living area and Smart TV. This intimate space is perfect for conversation or enjoying the pool views through the sliding glass doors. A spacious walk-in closet with plenty of room for hanging clothes and storing suitcases. Best access to the shared pool, which features a propane grill, two hanging chairs, reclining sun chairs, a dining table for four, and lots of space to float and unwind in the water. The pool, shared with the three other units, has quiet hours from 10 pm-9 am. A large bathroom with a shower is accessible from the main room. QUIET TIME We enforce a "Quiet Time" from 10 PM to 9 AM. If you're looking to party late into the night with loud music, this may not be the place for you. P.S. We have three additional units in the building. If you're traveling with a large group, we offer discounts for booking multiple units, accommodating up to 16 people in total! Guest access There is one spot for each unit in the building (a total of 4 units) right outside the building if you decide to rent a car. Please take whatever spot is open. There is also extra free parking up the hill on the cul-de-sac. You are on the 1st floor, which is poolside. You will walk three flights of stairs from the entrance to the building to reach your unit. EMBRACE THE HILLS Please note that the hill leading up to our place is quite steep. If anyone in your party has mobility concerns, reach out to us so we can assist with transportation arrangements. For drivers, it's essential to contact us days before your stay for specific directions (Google Maps sometimes misguides) and tips for navigating the hill, especially during rainy season. Smaller vehicles will struggle with the climb when it is wet so please consider this when you decide on whether or not The View House is the right fit for your group. Many of our guests enjoy the steep final stretch as a way to work off tacos and margaritas! Our Welcome Guide includes trusted transportation partners to ensure you easily reach our doorstep. SECURITY IS KEY Our building is equipped with a motion-sensor Ring camera monitored by our property management team. While we’re located in a safe neighborhood, this extra surveillance provides peace of mind. Both the building’s main entrance and your unit feature keyless entry—no need to keep track of keys during your adventures! A pool and laundry key will be provided in your room if you plan to use those amenities. POOL The pool is conveniently located on your floor and is shared with three other units in the building. For added privacy, your unit is equipped with blackout and privacy curtains that you can use when needed. Based on our experience and guest feedback, it’s rarely busy, offering a peaceful and relaxing spot to unwind, catch some sun, or even get some work done (yes, the pool has Wi-Fi!). We've also installed a privacy fence to shield the area from the construction below. For added enjoyment, we provide a collection of floats and rafts. Other things to note Booking a stay at The View House comes with free, immediate access to our exceptional property management team: Rangel, Leo, Hilda, and their crew. As long-time Puerto Vallarta residents, they are available to offer local tips, answer any questions, and assist with anything you need, even stopping by the unit if necessary. Their insider knowledge of the area is an invaluable resource during your stay. COME STAY AWHILE For longer stays, you’ll have everything you need within reach. The neighborhood is filled with pharmacies and corner stores for quick stops, and just five blocks down the hill is LEY, a well-loved grocery store with great prices. Even closer, you'll find one of the best fish and seafood markets in town—a daily stop for many guests! There are also tons of coffee shops and workspaces in the neighborhood, as well as a gym. Our Welcome Guide is packed with helpful info for extended stays, and we offer discounts for longer bookings. PLEASE NOTE Our neighborhood is highly sought after for its central location, and as a result, new developments are underway, including one in particular directly below our building. Construction schedules vary (and they are not allowed to work on the weekends), so while some guests may not hear any noise, others could experience it during their stay. Feel free to reach out if you have concerns and we’ll provide more details. Puerto Vallarta experiences a rainy season from mid-June through October, during which we offer significantly discounted rates. Please be aware that during this time, there may be stormy weather, occasional power outages, and challenging road conditions. Should you stay with us during the rainy season, we kindly note that refunds cannot be issued for issues caused by these factors.
