Takapau Yurt Experience

Situated in the side garden by the main house on a privately owned sheep farm (42 acres). Stunning views across the valley from behind the yurt and mountain views from the beautiful native garden surrounding the house. Guest bathroom is inside the main house. Breakfast is included and dinner is available at request and additional charge from my fully licenced food truck. Local superette 5mins drive away in the village, several nearby bush walks and wineries within a 15 min drive. The space The yurt itself is 6m diameter and entirely NZ made. Very comfortable Queen bed. Rural farmland with plenty of tranquil birdsong. Excellent star gazing opportunities. Guest access Feel free to stroll, sunbathe or play around in our beautiful native garden. Trampoline and outside toys available for kids. The porch on the main house is your main access to the house and is another area to enjoy with a swing seat, solar lights and my houseplant experiments 🙂 The guest bathroom is inside the main house, and although technically 'shared' we don't use it when guests stay as we have other facilities. Other things to note In summer the roof flap can be opened on the yurt for extra ventilation and in the cooler months an electric heater can be used to heat the yurt easily. Umbrella provided for wet weather use. The local Four Square closes at 5.30pm weekdays, 4pm Saturday and 12noon Sunday. You may need to grab supplies coming through other towns if this does not suit. Dinner available on site for additional cost. Breakfast included.
