Cottage in Grange-over-Sands

A lovely 2 bedroomed cottage within easy access of Grange-over-Sands town centre and a few steps from the train station, promenade and ornamental gardens. A perfect spot for a holiday or weekend getaway. The space The cottage was built in 1866 as the stables for the Grange Hotel. It has had a varied life, but has recently been refurbished to create our beautiful holiday home. Open plan dining kitchen and lounge has dual aspect windows, and entrance doors. The front is overlooking the station and bay, to the rear, direct access to the parking space and a small seating area, which is lovely to sit in when ‘The Lakes’ weather allows. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with low level windows and skylights. The main bedroom has a comfy double bed, built in wardrobes, and a chest of drawers. The smaller room has a day bed which can be a used as a single, or a larger double bed. A chest of drawers completes the room. The spacious bathroom with a large shower cubicle, heated mirror, that is a also a Bluetooth speaker, perfect for a song in the shower 😀 Guest access The key safe is in the wooden box in the archway. We will send the code before you arrive. We have our own parking space, directly behind the cottage, but free parking is available in the lay-by opposite, if available. Please do not park anywhere else in the courtyard, as these are designated private parking spaces for the residents. There is low cost parking very close the cottage. Other things to note On Cartmel Race Days, there are generally no buses from Grange-over-Sands to Cartmel, and taxis are not easy to get. Getting to the races on public transport is possible though. The nearest train station, 7 min train journey, around £4, is Cark and Cartmel, two miles from the Racecourse. The Travellers Choice will be offering independent shuttle bus services to and from Cartmel Village / Cark and Cartmel railway – please check all times, dates and updates on their website before you set off.
