Bangtail Farm is a gorgeous 130-acre thoroughbred horse farm nestled in the green rolling hills of Lurg. Recently renovated and boasting stunning furnishings, a trip to Bangtail will leave you with lasting memories. Collect eggs for breakfast, fill your bags with fruit from the orchard, play with our farm animals and catch morning trackwork as the horses are worked over the back hills. Finish the day around the campfire. This farm really is the full package!! The space The Farmhouse has been recently renovated. Prepare to relax and enjoy a homely farm feel. Mornings are spent around the kitchen table, under the canopy of gorgeous Elm trees, while watching racehorses prepare to do their morning work over in the stables. Retire to the delightful lounge in front of the fire on cosy winter days. Bedrooms have been stylishly prepared to ensure you have an amazing night sleep. This really is a gorgeous place to stay. Guest access Drive into the front gate and park your car in front of the house to unpack. Ample parking is available outside the front gate. Other things to note Collect fresh eggs for breakfast, gather fruit from our 49-tree orchard, and spend time with the ponies and sheep in the dam paddock. If you're drawn to the veggie garden, feel free to browse and forage for something fresh to add to your dinner. A must-do during your stay at Bangtail Farm is a walk up to the back paddock. If you think the farm is beautiful, just wait until you take in the sweeping views across the King Valley and out to Mount Buffalo—it’s absolutely breathtaking. As the day winds down, pack a cheese board and your favorite bottle of wine, then head up the back to watch the sunset. It's a daily show that truly must be seen to be believed. Once the sun sets on a Bangtail day, light the campfire (outside of fire restriction periods), turn up the tunes, and settle in for a peaceful, star-filled evening.
