"Sophia" cosy & charming cottage, walking distance to the Grand Canyon. Located amongst the bush, yet only a few minutes drive into town. Spend your days adventuring through the abundant walking tracks, all within walking distance. Then spend your nights cosied up by the fireplace under the fairy lights - or a BBQ outside on your own deck. Sophia is perfect get away if you want to immerse yourself in the blue mountains bush, listen to the native birds sing, or simply to have some quiet time The space Sophia has her own private entrance and parking, and is separate to the main house. The cottage is self-checkin: the keys are in a lockbox, code provided closer to your checkin time. Sophia has the following provided: - Wood for the fireplace (which would last 1-2 nights depending on how long you run the fire) - Premium queen sized hotel firm mattress + electric blanket in winter - Linen + towels provided - TV & Apple TV. There is a standard HDMI cable should you bring your laptop. - Kettle, microwave, toaster, coffee machine - Tea, coffee, sugar & honey - Fridge (with cold water, milk & butter) - Plates, mugs, utensils (as per photos) - Private BBQ incl utensils, oil, salt & pepper - Shower in bathroom with good water pressure - Books, games & art supplies for some screenless entertainment, or for when the weather has taken a turn... The following are available upon request: - Pets (huge fenced backyard $30, maximum 2- contact me directly before booking if you have pets. Please bring your own pet’s bedding & bowls. Dogs who dig holes are not permitted as the property is landscaped. Fees will be charged for any damage made to the property by pets. Pets should not be left unattended in the garden for long periods of time. We have chickens (in an enclosed pen), so if you think your dog will stand outside the pen and bark at them, this may not be the place for you as we don't want to stress our chickens. - Early checkin / late checkout available on request - $15 per hour. Contact me upon booking should you request this. Important to note: - There is no established kitchen with a stovetop or a sink. I recommend cooking on the BBQ, microwave meals, or ordering takeaway. I have provided a bucket & washing up products should you need to reuse the plates / cutlery provided. - We have chickens (all hens)! During your stay, they'll be fully enclosed in a pen at the back of the property. They are very chill, but please DO NOT enter the pen. Please keep this in mind if you have a dog that will bark at them - we don't want this. Guest access Sophia has a private entrance down a small quiet side road, with parking directly in front of the entrance - see photos. - Check in from 3pm - Check out by 10am - Early arrival / late checkout available on request - $15 per hour Other things to note I live in the main cottage, which is located approx. 15m away from Sophia.
